| I read somewhere on one of the Edmunds forums ( I believe it was the RX330 topic) that the people negotiated a price, drove quite a distance to Md. to get it, and when thay got there they found out about "additional" charges, so they simply got up and left withoput the RX. | |

A binding arbitration agreement can cut both ways - if the arbitrator is INDEPENDENT and FAIR then it can actually HELP you. What would it take before you would go get a lawyer and sue the dealership? Understand that unless the problem is very large you will most likely pay more in legal costs then you would recover - even if you win you still don't come out ahead. Before someone claims that if you win you can get your legal costs added to the recovery - that really does not happen very often IN THE REAL WORLD. Not saying it can't happen - it does - but I wouldn't bank on it. But if you don't want it - just say NO - it is a deal breaker. It does kind of make me think that maybe they were getting sued so much that they put this in the contract so they could save some legal fees. |

...that a lot of dealerships have this on their contracts.. Maybe more than 50%.. And, for the ones that have it.... it won't be negotiable.. You either sign it, or they won't sell you a car... regards, kyfdx |

I don't know how I could send you the rebate? I do not have a scanned copy of it and the dealer kept my copy? I would gladly help you if I could. I followed the instructions of the first person that mentioned the rebate on this site. I went to the Gerber site, signed up on the site, and then told them that I had lost my rebate and would like another (or something like that). I then went to the Mazda site and entered my info for the Gerber rebate. Mazda sent me certification via email in about two or three days. Gerber sent me the rebate which took about a week to get to me. I hope this helps some. ** I still would like to know if I got a good deal for my car if anyone can tell me. I purchased a Mazda 3 hatch with a manual trans, ABS package and moon roof package for $17150. With TTL it came to $18262. Is this a good deal?? I used the Gerber rebate for an extr $500 off of this price, but I want to know if this price was good without the Gerber rebate??

This seemed very unethical to say the least. Thank you, Kirstie, for putting an end to it. Meade

Considering the MSRP of a base Mazda3 hatch (without ABS & moonroof) is $17,665 (before TTL), I think it's safe to say you got an excellent deal. Meade |

| The best time to ask - or check - is this a good deal - would be BEFORE you buy the car. | |

But oh, how I love these buyer's remorse questions! Hmmm ... we should start telling people things like ... Well, that's a great deal! Tell me, was that the amount you paid before you applied the Mazda $3,000 Instant Cash For All Buyers Rebate and the $900 Pampers Zoomin' & Poopin' Coupon?
