I haven't taken the time to read all 32 pages and am just wondering if anyone has had these problems with their Mazda3 Hatchback: 1) Whenever I back up my brakes always squeak, but only packing up, never in Drive. 2) I've taken it to get fixed twice, but whenever I go over a bump I hear a squeak coming from what sounds like the chasis. It isn't the tires or brakes, but the vehicle itself and they can't seem to get that threw their heads in service. 3) Worst of all, the car always takes longer to start then it should. It catches, but it isn't pretty. I was told on this board that it may be the fuel pump but the dealership said no and told me the computer didn't pick up anything. The computer? Isn't there another way they can look? I've had this car 6 mos and for the most part all the big stuff is fine, but this is really irratating and embarrassing.

This being the "Problems" board, you're going to find what? Problems! If you look at the Problems board for the Accord, Civic, Camry, Corolla, you name it, there will be plenty of problems griped about. In particular, the Accord had a lot of squeaks and rattles after its 2003 redesign, and there was a some talk about starting problems with the V6 (caused by the fuel-pressure regulator). If you base your purchasing decisions on the Problems board for any car, you won't buy any car. |

good post...nobody builds a perfect car. Even the so called best manufacturers have service departments attached to their showrooms for a reason....and its not to do $14.95 oil changes. The key is how well do they handle problems that pop-up. Mazda does a pretty good job of fixing problems. Some car companies create the illusion that their cars don't break and if they do it's the owners fault. haha |

I used to follow the Saab 9-3 board, when the new model came out in '03.. but, eventually, it just became too depressing... If that didn't scare you off...shewwww The Mazda 3 looks relatively good compared to most. regards, kyfdx |

But then there would be a Horse Owners: Problems & Solutions board where people would be complaining about their horses crapping all over the place.
