I smile every time I drive it. I do have a problem I would like some feedback on though. Run Flat tires> They don't hold up and are terribly expensive to replace. I have switched to regular radials, and found the dealer put performance tires on. 15K later, they are worn out and I now understand why it was so "squirley" in snow this past winter. I specifically asked for all season tires. The dealership has agreed to replace them, but they say I may not be able to get all seasons in the 205/45/17 size and may have to go back to the run flats. Any suggestions?

My granddaughter (4 yrs.) tells me, Gramma, I LIKE this car! everytime she gets in! LOL   Is any1 planning 2 join the drive from CA to CT this summer? I live near some serious saltwater and no problems at all.   Had to replace the windshield wipers a lot more that I used to on my previous car, attibuting that to the salt.   I am experiencing an amusing problem with my temperature monitor, which is on the Problems/Solutions, any help would be great.   See ya!

Hi,   I have a VW Cabrio, and have had nothing but problems with it for 4 years... I drove a Cooper Mini S in Germany Last year, and have had my heart set on buying one. I do not think that I will get a convertable again. Just looking for some information/advice on features, and Mini negotiations. I read on another list that mini's are holding the MSRP's very well. Just picked up an '04 Mini in Red Chili. I am really enjoying the car so far. This car is practically new in that it only has 7700 miles on it, and hasn't even been in for it's first scheduled maintenance yet.   I read one post earlier with a satisfied owner with 87k miles and I'd like to know how many others are out there.   The horror stories reverberate in my ears, though, and I guess I am looking for some positive feedback and real stories about reliability.

One post read (and I am sorry if I ruin it) "Mini sales reps don't sell Mini's, they just take people out on demo drives." I guess if you want a Mini, you'll pay for it.   I just got sort-of-lucky picking up a used one, and I did see several on the lots on the web and locally. The website Mini's are at a premium, though.   I say sort-of-lucky, because I did pay the right price for it, as according to the calculations provided by another site that has those calculators. Wait, I can say it, it was Edmunds. I paid 18,000 for it, and it is a '04 5spd, with on-board computer, roof and space-saver tire, 7700 miles on it.   Happy hunting!

I just ordered a new 2006 cooper S. I am so excited. I have been reading this forum for quite some time tracking mini issues. Thanks to all who contribute here.   I had to dig deep in my pockets to get this. I am trading in my 05 Corolla. I wanted something fun to drive. But I am having some doubts in my head now if I made the right choice. I read 07' mini reviews and everyone seems to be raving about the new engine. But I dont like the way 07 looks, interior and exterior (am I alone on this?) So I went ahead and got an 06.
