Your problem is most likely in your idle control module. Certainly not the plugs, coils or battery. You need it looked at professionally. Is there a check engine light on anywhere in the instrument cluster?
#365 of 829 99' Lincoln Navigator Started & Then Stalled out
Aug 17, 2006 (5:58 am)
I have a 99 Lincoln Navigator. The oil filter must have had a hole in it because as I was driving all the oil had leaked out & splattered all along the driver's side of the truck. I made a stop (this is when I noticed all of the oil), got back into my truck started fine...All of a sudden the truck started bogging, I gave it a little gas & that's when the truck stalled out.
Tried to have it jumped didn't work.
Does anyone know what could of caused this? And what might need to be repaired?

If your oil leaked out, why would you continue to run the engine?

#368 of 829 2003 Lincoln Navigator CD-6 Error
Aug 24, 2006 (10:49 am)
I have a CD error message on the stereo display and I can't play or eject any of the CDs the radio AM/FM still works. Does anyone know if this can be fixed without being taken to the DealerShip. Someone recently broke into our navigator and stole the middle console leaving behind the stereo. It was still working but I'm not sure if its the constant removing of the stereo that has caused this error. We remove the stereo because the insurance has still not paid for the damages it has(window is broken).

Most stereo shops could fix this, but may not want to. The dealer can get it done for you though, and it should be under warranty still, unless you have a ton of miles on the truck. Sadly, Ford switched from Visteon for their radio supplier to Delphi (a formerly GM company) a few years ago, and the radios have been junk ever since.
#371 of 829 Tailgate ajar light stays on- 2003 Navigator
Aug 27, 2006 (12:14 pm)
I have a 2003 Lincoln Navi. It has a power liftgate. However, if used manually the liftgate ajar light stays on. I had the dealer fix this problem a couple of years back, but always use the remote to activate the liftgate. A guest tried to manually open the liftgate the other day, and the light has stayed on since. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help ASAP. Thanks.
