It heats up twice as fast but does not get the cabin temperature up too fast. I switch it to the floor setting and you get it blowing in the back seat it does help. Is your car/engine seem loud. But when we tried to start the car, it either wouldn't start or start and it idled very badly and then go dead, we had to have it towed to have it repaired.

Replying to: gerbytop (Jan 14, 2009 2:08 pm) I have had my '04 for 2.5 years now and it seems to run quiet when you are idling or cruising. However, when accelerating it seems to get louder. Its always been that way and we haven't had to bring it in yet. Knock on wood.   This is the first Minnesota winter it has really seen (Texas car) and the engine is much louder in the bitter cold.   The heating system usually works fine, but in this -50F weather it does have trouble warming up the cab.

Replying to: gerbytop (Jan 14, 2009 2:08 pm) Yes, I think the engine is quite loud. It also makes all kinds of different noises when you switch into a gear, especially with reverse gear. As far as the heat goes it takes so much longer to defrost the windows in Endeavor as opposed to Dodge Grand Caravan. I also think I have a problem with floor heat setting. Replying to: Mitty2008 (Dec 29, 2008 1:48 am) Please let me know if you've found a solution. This just started on my 2004 XLS AWD (104,000 miles). I can only open it from the inside release lever. I stop by a mechanic (not the dealer) who looked at fuses, etc. but nothing.
