2004 Endeavor - "Communication Error" Message??? by SiMrEman07

I was trying to change the dome light bulb in the trunk in my '04 Endeavor XLS, and I think I shorted something out out, My interior lights won't go on, the radio won't go on and my remote won't work either. The LCD display says "Communication Error". I checked all the fuses and they're all good, don't know if its a relay or solonoid or something else. Anyone familiar with this problem before I take it to the dealer? Please help!!!!

BTW I only have 37,000 miles on the car and I purchased it new, if this makes a difference.

I have a 2004 Endeavor, we recently had a mass air sensor replaced, now I noticed that the floorboards and carpet on the driver side is soaking wet, what could be causing this? the car is not running hot, the radiator is far away from the control panel on the drivers side, plus it is not leaking.

2007 Endeavor weak heating system. by chrisbond09

I have had my 2007 Endeavor for a few months. Now that we have very cold weather in New England I use my heating system every day. It works OK but not as well as I expected. I also have a Dodge Grand Caravan and the heating system is so much stronger there - it can warm up the car in half the time the Endeavor's does. I took my Endeavor to a mechanic and he said that it is normal for Mitsubishi cars to have weaker heating systems and Dodge cars are known for having stronger heating systems overall. How would you rate your Endeavor's heating system compared to other cars you have or had before.

We have a 2004 Endeavor and a 2007 Galant and these guys heat up quicker than anything else we've ever had over the last 40 years. And that's real important in upstate New York!

I have a 2004 Endeavor and had to replace the mass air sensor or something close to that name, I thought it was bad fuel, but after it was replaced the car runs fine.but before that it would turn over and never start and emit black smoke.

I have the same two cars and your right the Dodge will run you out. This is my first winter with the endeavor. It heats up twice as fast but does not get the cabin temperature up too fast. I switch it to the floor setting and you get it blowing in the back seat it does help. Is your car/engine seem loud. I am trying to get over it but it gets on my nerves.

The endeavor acted as though it was bad gas, and emitted black smoke when we tried to start the car. But when we tried to start the car, it either wouldn't start or start and it idled very badly and then go dead, we had to have it towed to have it repaired.

I have had my '04 for 2.5 years now and it seems to run quiet when you are idling or cruising. However, when accelerating it seems to get louder. Its always been that way and we haven't had to bring it in yet. Knock on wood.

This is the first Minnesota winter it has really seen (Texas car) and the engine is much louder in the bitter cold.

The heating system usually works fine, but in this -50F weather it does have trouble warming up the cab.
