Other makers give their own names to ESC such as "Stabilitrack", etc. M-ASTC is an AVAILABLE option on the 2006 LIMITED version of the Endeavor... you can read this at http://www.mitsucars.com/MMSA/jsp/endeavor/features_specs.jsp There is an Electronic Stability Control Coalition web site www.esc.com where they list which model and which years the ESC system is offered either as standard or optional feature. Unfortunately, today, their site is down. I think I recall from visiting that site before, that M-ASTC was not available on the 2005 Endeavor. Having TCS (traction control system) on a 2006 Endeavor Limited (or any of the Endeavors) does not mean you have M-ASTC... I wish it did. Traction Control (TCS) is great... I call it "the magic hand" as it makes the necessary correction to avoid the tires from skidding... ESC is a much more comprehensive system which includes a gyroscope. It takes control of the car (making motor speed, brake and suspension adjustments) when excessive or abnormal maneuvers are detected, such as during an accident. Typically TCS can be disconnected through a switch if you want to regain normal control of the car (such is the case on the 2005 Limited Endeavor). I have not read that you can disconnect ESC. |

Door Hinge Attaching Bolts on New 2006 Endeavor (all four doors) clearly have had wrench used on them before vehicle delivered. Bolt heads are marred and all paint off. These are bolts that attach to Door; not to vehicle Body. Have never seen this in 40 years of buying new vehicles! Would very much appreciate any and all ideas as to what has happened and why? Thank You!

Does all trims of the Endeavor come with the trip computer where it tells your fuel consumption MPG and so on. I was curious. Thinking about buying one but all I have test drove was the LS and I didnt even check out the radio. Thank you.
