does anyone know why the A3 doesn't have a NHTSA crash rating (front or side impact) for either the '06 or '07 model? I didn't see any ratings for the A3 on their website.

I plan to buy the "Base Carrier Bars" roof rack system to my 2006 Audi A3 and wonder what you guys think about it. I plan to use it for two bikes (I know that I have to buy two bike carriers). Is it easy to use? B.t.w I love my A3. Thanks, /Kenneth |

| Anyone know when the new model year typically comes out? I've never shopped Audi before, but I'm falling into mad love with the A3. '07 stock seems very limited. | |
dealer told me last week that alot of his a3's are at the port in baltimore now. he gave me no timetable as to when he would have them however. i really didn't ask.

Thanks for the information. I've seen the post about changes for '08. Any change in the colors? |

I'm not worried at all, it has been flawless mechanically and electrically. It's been more reliable than my '03 Accord Coupe, to be honest, and that was pretty reliable. However, if I was betting on which one would reach 300,000 miles and 20 years of use, I'd bet on the Honda. The way I look at it is this: it is a high performance machine and it will need a greater level of care and maintenance. Just put aside $100 a month for maintenance and repair that you'll use when and if needed. For instance, at 20,000 miles I just spent about $550 for 4 new high performance tires; I drive aggressively and go out on back country windy roads for fun occassionally. |

All things considered my Audi ran as well or better than anything I've owned in 40+ years of car ownership and that in cludes a couple of long term relationships with Hondas.
