Sounds high! Check the Edmunds site for a good value on this car.

My daughter has a 2003 model, it has been a good car thus far.

Good Luck

2007 Saturn ION 2 Sedan by orbit9090

2007 Saturn ION 2 Sedan 2.2L Auto w\ pref pkg 2. MSRP was $15,825.

Used $1,000 down payment coupon from GMAC lease pull-ahead promotion - which covered the 6% sales tax. Dealer fees were $270. Financed $16,056.

GMAC was offering 0% for 72 months on ION's.
Payment is $223 per month for 72 months. Zero cash down. Zero interest.

When test driving the 2007 ION, found it to be very quiet and smooth riding, noticeably quieter and smoother than our 2007 Toyota Corolla LE automatic, especially when accelerating from a stop. Handling was excellent. The ION's headroom and legroom was impressive for this class of vehicle.

Dealership tried to sell us a bunch of extra profit add-ons, like overpriced warranties and that window etching scam thing, etc...
We just had to keep saying, "No thank you, we are not interested in that."
But so much for Saturn's "no hassle, no haggle" policy, huh?
