The Saturn purchasing experience was the best experience in car purchasing I had. Now I am trying to purchase a Honda 06 Civic, it has been a month and a half of futile negotiations, and a battle of wits against a hungry bunch of sales persons whose income depends entirely on commission and how much they can get the customer paid above invoice. I have been lured into showrooms where they do not even have the car. I have given spills that I must pay premium for a factory order. I have had misleading low ball offers that balloons. I have been offered dizzy financial schemes to rip me off.   I long for the Saturn buying experience, but I want an improved version of the Ion. Replying to: jkwh50a (Feb 04, 2007 5:37 pm) I was looking at them. I couldn't really find what I wanted, '07 ION 3 w/2.4 auto and leather without a sunroof. And I couldn't order because they are stopping production in March. So now I'm leaning more towards the Hyundai Elantra. Seems comparable in size and price to me with the Elantra having a better interior, more standard features and better gas mileage. But that's just my personal opinion. Happy hunting!

I just test drove an ION 3 Quad Coupe last night, 5 Speed, good car! Since they stopped production on them for this year, I'm trying to get my hands on a black one, but with the sport package, so that it looks similar to the ION Red Line. I'll keep you posted.
