Replying to: emission (Oct 13, 2005 2:41 pm) I am leaning toward selling our MDX and then going back. Have an extra car so it won't hurt to try. Figure that will put 2-3k in my pocket. Why is buying a car such a pain.

| Is there a web site to perform a new BMW search across multiple dealers or within a given range? I hate having to go to each bmw web site and search. | |
Got a good deal in Maryland on this X5. Prem and sport pkg, rear climate, auto, self dimming mirrors, MSRP 50,700.00 including mats and 2 tanks of gas. Paid 42,700.00 plus tax and tags.

I am starting negotiations for an X5 with Auto, rear climate, nav, prem hi-fi, prem, cold weather, xenon headlights. Asking price is $35,900, mileage is 30,909 for a 2002. I would love to be out the door with $31,749 as my bottomline. Too low? Please someone help. I do not want to insult but I don't want to get robbed. Should I put down a good down payment? Thanks.

Replying to: ladi (Oct 15, 2005 11:01 pm) For that kind of money, I would go for a new one. As you know, BMW X5 starts to have problems at 50000 miles, especially the transmission. Now, the mileage almost 32000, maybe the warranty still good for another few months. I think your target price would be $27000. If you ask anyone, they would tell you whatever the msrp divide by 2. that's after 3 years driving.
