Hi,
We recently bought 2, pkg #2 Prius cars. We added a Toyota in dash 6cd changer to both about $650 installed.
No Nav or Bluetooth.
I have a Garmin portable Nav unit if needed. Actually almost NEVER use it.
The #2 has smart key, backup camera, VSC, MP3, aux audio.
We paid 22K each (two different dealers) which is the edmunds invoice price. So. Cal invoice is $22.3.
Very good financing until at least end of March.
Look on Prius Chat and Prius On Line for discussions on price.
Send me a PM if I can help.
We had a 2005 for 2 years, love these cars.

Im shopping around NY/NJ/CT area a 2008 Prius. I find something very strange, some dealer inventory show the standard Prius with package #2 has HID headlamp. Isnt it a touring standard or a package #4 option??

I just purchased a new Prius Touring Pkg # 6 and just discovered it did not have day time running lights. I did not see this as an option. Is this feature unavailable for this vehicle ? I thought it was pretty much standard on all new vehicles.

Package Availability by jmoose

I'm trying to figure out which Prius I want to buy, and what I'd really like is a Touring Package #2, possibly with dealer installed leather. We live in the northeast, and I'm told that at least in our region, there is no such thing as a Touring Package #2..."only 5 and 6".

OK, so maybe I'll just go full boat and get Package 6. I don't care about the auto-dimming mirror, or bluetooth, or, frankly, the nav system...but the leather is nice. However, I stopped in at a dealer at lunch and was told "no Package 6 Tourings in the Northeast" and offered to add leather ( dealer) to a Package 3 Touring. Since this car will be used for a fair amount of highway driving, and not always on very smooth roads, I'm thinking the Touring suspension is something I want.

Is there anywhere I can find out for sure what models/packages are available in the Northeast? I'm not sure I totally believe this dealer.

Thanks.

Sounds like my search as well. I was told by one dealer there were no Touring w/package 2 and then I checked at another dealer and they said no problem. It is ridiculous to me that they do not sell all packages in all areas.
Why does Toyota do that?
