Hi, this is my first post on this forum. I got great advice here awhile back when I bought my 2006 Acura TL, and I'm hoping for more of the same now. My TL has performed beautifully for three years with regular oil changes at the dealer, and I put very little mileage on it since I take Metro to work. But when I took it to get inspected this summer, the dealer told me that all the fluids (transmission, coolant, brake, and power steering) were "aged" and needed to be flushed, for a total bill of $760, He also recommended a "engine purge," an alignment, and something called "B" service, for an additional $460.   I checked my owner's manual, and according to it, the only fluid that needs to be changed regardless of fluid level/mileage is the brake fluid, which does need to be changed every three years. As for the other service, I can't find a maintenance schedule in the manual, so I have no idea if the dealer is on the level or is just trying to find a way to get more $$ out of me.   I haven't had any of this work done yet, and if I do, I'm considering going elsewhere to get it done, since those prices seems pretty high to me. Replying to: carcassi (Jul 08, 2009 5:52 am) I'd follow the owner's manual, if I were you, plus get me a new service facility. Sounds like this one is trying to take you to the cleaners.

Replying to: carcassi (Jul 08, 2009 5:52 am) Yup, you need to get a second opinion, at the very least. Sounds like your dealer is trying gouge on service to compensate for what has probably been a dismal period for them in the sales department.

I haven't had the issues with lost of service like some of you have had but I have noticed that since the merge of XM with Sirius my service hasn't been as great as when it was just XM; I tend to lose the signal more often even on open road with picture perfect weather; lucky the static/lose only last for no more than 30 secs; might be an issue with the new company; only thing I've noticed over the last few months

Replying to: freestyle06 (Jul 05, 2009 4:18 pm) Yes, I have the same problem in my '05 TL. I just went to the dealer yesterday and showed it to the service manager. He insisted that the white stuff was residue from using 409 to clean the dash (which I rarely do), and he put an Acura product on a small section of the dash. It seemed to work (their vinyl and leather cleaner, and vinyl and leather conditioner), so I bought some. However, when I applied it after I got home, the chalky white appearance remained! I also have the air bag outline showing, as well. This never happened in my RL.

Hi Folks,   My 2008 TL side passenger mirror stop moving when I put the car in reverse. It normally turns down for better view in reverse. It all of a sudden stopped working. Has this happened to anyone else ? What is the fix for it ? Replying to: cman7 (Jul 20, 2009 3:02 pm) You did not indicate whether the mirror works when you simply adjust it from the switch??   If you can adjust it up/down and side to side using the adjusting switch, then you know the motor and its gears work. Then, be sure to leave the mirror switched to the passenger mirror and try backing again. If that doesn't work take it to your dealer.

I don't know if anyone has ran into this problem but I am stumped. My radio and navigation buttons do not work. It froze 2 days ago. Now when I start the car the navigation boots up but I can't hit the ok button because the touch screen doesn't work. Sometimes if I tap on the radio I can get the radio to work until I turn the car off and the navi momentarily(seconds to work) but can't see the screen. Also 1/2 the time when I turn the car off whatever is on the screen if anything stays on even with the key out. If you know anything I would appreciate any help
