I found my camera at Google at sonic electronex back up camera. The model is VTL 100. This is the plastic frame with chrome coating, it matches the trunk emblems. I should have gotten the metal-chrome as mine is bending a little. Costs more.

The camera housing can be rotated up and down and has 130 degrees view. Works well at night time. It blends in with license frame and is barely visible. ange

Auto Headlights timer by jhavign

I have a 2007 Avalon Limited and use the Auto headlights. It just makes me nervous that I'll have a dead battery some day from the headlights being on too long. Does anyone know if there is a setting to shorten the time the headlights stay on when you turn the car off.

I use the auto setting on my 07 Touring and the lights turn off when you press the lock button 2 maybe 3 times.

The "On" time is set to 30 seconds from the factory, it can be adjusted by the dealer using the Toyota scan tool from 0 to 60 seconds.

On my '07 limited, I noticed that as long as the trunk lid is open, the headlight will stay on beyond the 20 seconds! On another occasion, I turned on the headlight manually and forgot to turn it off. The next morning I noticed the lights were off and no problem with the battery. This car is pretty smart.(pcc49)

The oil tube failed on mine with 25K. There is a TSB on this. When these first started failing many dealers originally thought is was PS fluid. It is not.

I find that the auto headlights don't come on in some situations I want them to, such as very overcast days and rainy days. I understand their sensitivity can be adjusted by the dealer, is that correct?

Seems to me the auto headlights should be interfaced to the wipers --i.e. headlights turn on whenever wipers are on -- since this is now the law in a number of states.
