Switching Repairing Dealerships ????? by h8mstng

Um ... go ahead and try to switch a repairing dealership in Southern NY. Once the laughing dies down, you'll be informed that anything the first dealership touched the second dealership won't even help you with. That is IF they even agree to let you make an appointment. They don't want to hurt their "FIX IT RIGHT" rating. That was what I was told by the Service Manager.(Don't wanna miss out on any of that prime "Blue Oval" money by making their dealership look bad because they couldn't fix one of their own products.) I took my car back to the dealership I bought it from and was told that because another dealership had worked on it, the car was going to have to be serviced at the other dealership from that point on. I was then told to get my car of their lot or they were going to call the police. That was from the dealership that sold me the car. How's that for customer relations ?

Around here switching dealerships when you have a problem just doesn't happen. Yeah and I tried explaining that to the wonderful Ford Customer Care Representatives .... I was told that "It's up to the dealerships discretion." What kinda crap is that ? So I guess it's now acceptable for Ford dealerships to pick what they want to service and what they won't service.

Ford Customer Care aka "You're a Ford Customer, We Got Your Money, Now We Don't Care"

Ford Customer Care 800# ? I'm convinced it actually connects you to dial a joke.

Oh great. My beloved car is having identical problems to yours. It's due into the shop for the third time for the lingering mildew smell. This past weekend the passenger's side had a pool of water in it after a rainstorm. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be much appreciated. Is the situation hopeless?

What, no dump truck version? And the mini-van version has been canceled? Oh my-my! Please keep it a Pony car - a coupe.

Three words ... Better Business Bureau and or lemon law the car. Oh and prepare for a drawn out battle with Ford. They don't care that they sold you a car that leaks. So far the only ones that seem to care are the BBB. Sue Ford through them. It's the only way you will ever come close to winning. The car is damaged and has been since day one. You have no idea how long it has been leaking or exactly what in the electrical system has become damaged. (For reference I have 25 years experience with electrical systems and have never seen one that could have water dripping on it and be considered "fine". Ford seems to think that electrical systems that are water soaked are consider to be the same as systems that weren't water soaked.)

Good luck, you're gonna need it in the next 4+ months.

The only way to solve this is to say to hell with the mustang as well as ford because as everyone knows FORD SUCKS. HAHA You would not have these problems if you would have bought a chevy or a dodge.
