If you have access to A/C power in the garage, you may want to consider a top-notch battery charger like the Battery Tender. I use one on my 10KW generator, and it's awesome.   If you DO run it every week, I'd be careful to run it more than 10 minutes. You want to make sure that all the gasoline that may have seeped into the oil burns off, and that the water is all evaporated out of the exhaust system.   If you drive it, be careful about picking up road salt.   I'd probably just disconnect the battery, put it on a Battery Tender, toss a cover over it, and come back in March or April.   But that's just me.   Good luck! I just turned 10,000 miles on my '05 GT. Bought it brand new w/ 4 miles on Jan 1, 2005. Was kind of hoping I could stretch it all the way to the 2 year mark before tripping the 5th digit. But with the weather we've had the past few days, I couldn't resist taking her out!

Put Mobil 1 in my GT. Recommend it highly. Definitely runs smoother. A tad more power. No wonder new Vettes come with it in their engines.

Have always run a synthetic in every new vehicle I've gotten. Usually Mobil 1SS but Pennzoil and Castrol as well (PepBoy's auto chain frequently offers rebates that brings the per bottle price to $1.99). Wife's 06 4Runner has it now as did her 03. Switched to WalMart syn 65K for my 99 Expy (now 103K) because of the costs. Changed 500 mi to Mobil 1SS in my 06 GT. Not only does GM put Mobil 1 in Vette's, but Viper's, Porsche's, Aston Martin's, and BMW's all come from the factory with it as well.

Replying to: riposte (Nov 13, 2006 3:50 pm) i have a '91 mustang. i just change the oil, fill it with gas and put the car cover on it(garaged). usually start it one time over the winter months and run it for 20 minutes or so including heater. i have had to replace the battery every 6 years. i am in the northeast.

I wonder how the tail works. looks like it still lifts like a regular trunklid, making the back space not nearly as useful as a real wagon.
