My Mustang V6 is suppose to be built today. I hope they aren't too hungover in Flatrock celebrating the Tigers win.

i already owe my wife's sister's family dinner because the tigers beat the yanks. thinking about going double or nothing, but is it going to be the mets or cards?
i think you were better off getting the 'stang built now versus the next round.

i am putting my 06 mustang gt conv. in the garage for the winter and have never done it before.. any advise would be appreciated !!! i live in ny where it gets very cold and we get alot of snow.the garage is not heated or insulated so it can get very cold in there but it is dry.
questions that come to mind:

should i use a car cover and if so which one/kind ?

i got the car new from the dealer 6 months ago and haven't waxed it yet but water still beads up.should i wax it before storing it ?

should i disconnect the battery or not ?

how often should i start it and how long should it run ?

put it on blocks or just move it a little when i run it to change tire position ?

and anything else someone can think of...thanks !

Yes, use a car cover. Preferably one that is breathable.
Yes, definitely wax it before storing it.
Yes, disconnect the battery.
You should probably run it for at least 10 minutes per week.
I would say drive it for those 10 minutes that you run it per week. That way, all the fluids will get a good working out (tranny fluid, differential fluid, brake fluid, etc.).
I would suggest having the air in your tires replaced with nitrogen.

If you're going to run it every week, don't bother disconnecting the battery. If you have access to A/C power in the garage, you may want to consider a top-notch battery charger like the Battery Tender. I use one on my 10KW generator, and it's awesome.

If you DO run it every week, I'd be careful to run it more than 10 minutes. You want to make sure that all the gasoline that may have seeped into the oil burns off, and that the water is all evaporated out of the exhaust system.

If you drive it, be careful about picking up road salt.

I'd probably just disconnect the battery, put it on a Battery Tender, toss a cover over it, and come back in March or April.

But that's just me.

Good luck!

The Mustang GT not only made Road and Track's best 12 cars under $30,000, but is singled out as one of the best of the bunch.

I just turned 10,000 miles on my '05 GT. Bought it brand new w/ 4 miles on Jan 1, 2005. Was kind of hoping I could stretch it all the way to the 2 year mark before tripping the 5th digit. But with the weather we've had the past few days, I couldn't resist taking her out!

Put Mobil 1 in my GT. Recommend it highly. Definitely runs smoother. A tad more power. No wonder new Vettes come with it in their engines.

Have always run a synthetic in every new vehicle
I've gotten. Usually Mobil 1SS but Pennzoil and Castrol as well (PepBoy's auto chain frequently offers rebates that brings the per bottle price to $1.99). Wife's 06 4Runner has it now as did her 03. Switched to WalMart syn 65K for my 99 Expy (now 103K) because of the costs. Changed 500 mi to Mobil 1SS in my 06 GT. Not only does GM put Mobil 1 in Vette's, but Viper's, Porsche's, Aston Martin's, and BMW's all come from the factory with it as well.
