I went to the Ford Dealer Parts department and the guy looked at me like I had four heads, do you have the part number for the plenum cover?

I bought a GT Premium convertible 2 weeks ago, had been shopping it for a month. I am in WI and there were a bunch of GT premiums with MT, they are not that hard to come by.

Not here in Northern Calif. In fact, the local dealer, where I got my GT, doesn't keep any in stock for very long. He parks every GT he gets out in front, balloons attached to the antenna. Invariably, every car is gone within a week.

I honestly did not want to pay the 6-7,000 dollar difference for a v8 so i bought a v6 premium. MY Choice. I can throw a supercharger on my v6 for about 4500 installed, warrantied by an svt dealer an hour from my house and prolly beat a GT. Nobody knocks you for spending too much for your GT so dont knock us hard working people who maybe cant afford a GT. I know for a fact my v6 can hang with a 5.0 fox body any day of the week. ford sells an 80+ power package for under 1200 for the v6 210 +80 pretty close there guys, all my research shows that I can make my v6 just as fast as yer v8 for alot less. Sorry Im just tired of ppl knocking the v6 owners

Hey, thanks for the tip. Although it's not a big problem for me (I'm also 6-4), I'll check that out.

Can make it as fast as you want, still won't handle like a GT.

Um, thats what the Pony package is for.
BTW. there was some question as to whether the Pony package does include the rear sway bar.
I assure you it does. (checked under one myself).
Incidently, the V6 has prolly about 150 to 200 less pounds hanging out ahead of the front axle; accordingly, it may handle even better as the weight distribution is closer to 50/50.
Someone with lots of racing trophies on his shelves once told me "Its more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow."
I live in NJ. We have twice as many state troopers than PA which like twice the size and i think like 3 times the population. Fast is good but 2 fast is not good.
Mark.
