Hi, I have a 2004 toyota 4runner sr5 4wd with 12000 miles. I have noticed excessive wind noise...it almost sounds like an open window. The worst is above 60 mph, heard mostly from left rear door and right top of windshield. Anyone have any advice? Do the vent shields decrease road and wind noise? Thanks this is really annoying.

Sometimes these are installed incorrectly. Afterwards, adjust both rails to a location just past the paint mark. This is the proper location when you are not carrying luggage. Your owners manual should have instructions on this. Now for the vent shields; if these are the add ons one sees in the autoparts stores to keep rain out, then yes, these can and do make wind noise.

I would really appreciate some help with a few problems, so I can tighten up my truck before school starts. I won't be able to afford fixing it for a few years after I start. There is a weird stutter in power around 2000rpm, I replaced my fuel filter, and I got an o2 sensor, but I can't find it on the truck. My book doesn't help much there. I also have a crazy creaking sound when I turn to the left really sharp(quickly or bumpy road). I have already done some minor thing's with my truck just by looking at this message board you have all been very helpful. This is one of he best references I've been able to find. |

My auto climate control light is flashing and I have no ac. I have replaced the solar sensor and it worked fine for about 4 days and then started flashing again, with no ac.

I also had the vehicle in for a wobbling sound, the problem was a drive shaft that was installed backwards on the assemble line. Has anyone else experienced this problem? |
