LT 2WD, extended cab, short box + light duty power package +17" wheels & tires.

25850 dealer price
-2500 rebate
-1500 march madness
-500 instant value certs
-3000 gm credit card
+ lots of tax and goofy fees
= 19660.45
-500 GM business credit, but that takes months I'm told.

Cheers!

Where are you located that you can get a $1500 March Madness rebate? In Wisconsin, it's only $1000.

Anyone know of the "Close the Deal" coupons I've seen mentioned?

I didn't until I saw your last post. Then I did a Google search. I didn't dig too hard to see what's the going on for current sales, but back in January dealerships received these and could give them out in $250 increments to their customers to "close the deal". At the time they could stack up to four of them ($1000) as needed. I believe they were (are?) intended to give dealers a bit more wiggle room to clear out old models and stock under the new pricing strategy, specifically vehicles like the GMT800 SUVs.

As I said, I didn't check to see what the current policy is, so you might want to search again to see the latest.

Sorry for not getting back earlier...

It is not widely advertised but March Madness is $1500 for extended cab (not standard, not crew). I am in greater Philadelphia PA region, but this is national. I first read about it detroit news website. The other poster is correct as far as I know about the coupons. I didn't really push to get all four, so you might do better than I did.

We like the truck, but buy experience was not great. Gmbuypower is great, but then they go and launch a complicated incentive like March Madness where we had to call around anyway to try and find a qualifying truck (which was like finding hens' teeth here, I hope you have better luck) and we still have to haggle over the price.

Can I get invoice pricing? by rhoyme

Is it reasonable for me to expect to pay the invoice price for an '06 Silverado Crew Cab 4x4 LS? I'm dealing on one, MSRP right at $30,000. Invoice according to Edmunds is right at $27,500, and less the $2,500 rebate gives me a price of $25,000. I offered this to the sales manager, who said "we can't give these away", so I walked out of the dealership. That was on Monday, they haven't called me back like I thought they would. Am I unreasonable to expect to buy this truck at invoice?

I never did get a deal. When the dealer said my offer was "unreasonable" -- I offered the invoice price -- I never heard back from the dealer. Since I'm from a small town (25,000 people) and want to buy local if at all possible, I'm now looking at a Dodge Ram although I'd really rather get a Silverado. But it does sound like other people are getting invoice pricing, if not even a little below invoice!
