"Vehicle now needs $3,500 work on the transmission--but it's covered under the broker's limited warranty" - I hope someone comments on this with more knowledge than me, but if the car needs a new tranny after 45K miles, wouldn't that indicate that the car might have been abused, and thus, other things might go wrong with it soon? This could be due to clutch drops or other anomalies, which puts wear and tear on the complete drive-train. |

| As I posted elsewhere, it was my understanding that the 00-01 S2000 had some transmission problems that were addressed in the 2002 model. My dealer replaced a couple of MY 2000 S2000 transmissions even after the warranty had expired with the newer version and the replacement was paid for. | |
| Turns out my '01 S2K was abused (chips on most of the gears) and that's why it needed so much work on the transmission. Fortunately, I got the broker to take the car back and reimburse me ALL of my money and then found a truly "certified" used '02 with less than 10K miles (which is also still under mnf warranty). I'm in No CA but bought the car from a Honda dealer in NC through the internet and saved myself about $4,000 (even after shipping). Sasha | |

really enhances the look. what are they? on another note, does anyone know if there's an analog replacement for the LED? |
|
| Are stock. They are part of the new changes for '04. | |
|
Yup, they are stock for '04. I have read that the 17" tire/wheel combo for '04 actually is 2 lbs lighter, overall, than the previous set. Not sure if I believe it but... I actually miss one aspect of the old wheels: they were simple. The new ones are much more of a pain to clean, if you're truly trying to get all the grime out of the various little corners. I'm not aware of any analog replacements for the dash. As the digital dash is considered one of the character traits of the S2000 I haven't heard of anyone in the S2K community attempting this... |

| I drove an 04 S200 Suzuka Blue today and I'm afraid I have fallen in love! The MSRP was $33260 on the sticker. Edmunds does not show invoice price. Can ayone help me out? I would like to know the range I have to work with. Thanks a million! | |
