Volvo of Richardson is where my son bought the S60 for $5000 off MSRP, but this was a 2004. Yes, they do advertise $8000 off on 2003 models.

Edmunds says there is a $5000 cash to dealer incentive right now on the 2003 S60, that expires 12/31/04... is this a correct date? I am in the market now for the car. I'm afraid it's really 9/30/03, so I only have until tomorrow. Can someone confirm? Thanks. |

Hi zosim. Technically the dealer cash that Volvo is providing on its remaining 2003 S60 models will never expire. I say this because towards the end of the model year many manufacturers provide their dealers with final dealer cash payments for any models that are remaining in inventory as of a certain date. This is what Volvo did with its leftover 2003 models. On September 3rd, it provided dealers with a final $5,000 dealer cash payment on '03 S60 2.4 Base models, $4,000 on '03 S60 2.4 ASR & S60 2.4 T models, & $4,500 on '03 S60 2.5T AWD & S60 T-5 models. So you don't have to worry about missing out on this cash. The only thing that you risk by waiting too long to buy a 2003 S60 is not being able to find the exact combination of color and options that you want. Hi all, I'm in the market for a 2004 black S-60 AWD with leather option only. I live in Arlington, VA. Edumunds.com suggest true market value as $32,327. Do you think this is a good number? What do you think is the right price for this car? I'm looking to purchase the car very soon so your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Brand new 2004 model S40's have a $4000 incentive on them... and they just came out!! kyfdx |

| Really not surprising, is it? I mean, they just showed off the completely redesigned model at the Frankfurt auto show and rumors are flying that, when it arrives at dealerships, it will have a much lower MSRP than the current S40s. In my opinion, $4K isn't enough! | |

Whan a newly introduced model requires a 4000.00 incentive in order to sell them! I think some of the car companies have created a monster that they can't get off their backs! But then...who REALLY pays for the 4000.00 incentive? |
|
| no, the new model hasn't come out yet. These are still the old models, and that is the problem. Yeah, they are the new year, but they are still the same old design. The new models will be coming in the spring. And, like I said, rumor is the new model in the spring will be priced lower than the current ones, so I believe that is the real reason for keeping the incentive on these current S40s. | |

And it stickers for $29,400 with only a $1600 spread between MSRP and invoice.. So, they are selling for $24,400. Pretty expensive for a Civic with leather and a few safety features. regards, kyfdx |
