Replying to: fredvh (Jul 23, 2005 10:49 am) On the trip to Washington D.C. and back, our gas mileage was 26 - 27 mpg. We bought the lowest grade of gas available during the entire trip. When we started the trip, the engine only had about 800 miles on it, so I am not sure it was completely "broken in". I have not reset the mpg display since we returned, so I don't know how the mpg is for in-town driving...   We found the navigation system to be indispensable!! I doubt that I will ever buy another "long trip" car without a nav system. It even took us right to the front door of Frank Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater" house in rural Mill Run, PA.

Has anyone gotten a deal in Albany NY? Stopped in at the dealer and they did not appear very negotiable. They were only knocking around 10% off a demo. carsdirect.com shows pricing here at 94% of MSRP. I am in the market for an ES 330, and I have not decided if I want to buy one with the option package that includes the Nav system. Price is a big factor. I live in Jackson, MS, and the dealer here doesn't want to deal so I am willing to drive a little. I am looking to lease an '05 ES 330 in the Atlanta area. Have never leased before and am trying to figure out what my target price should be if I want monthly lease payments of approximately $400 per mo. Plan to put $1500 down. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Replying to: lenscap (Jul 27, 2005 9:33 am) Actually, you are witnessing the beauty of comparing %MSRPs. olddave actually paid 88.8% of MSRP, including the dealer handling fee. This is slightly lower than many Edmund's posters have been getting. I suspect the lower price is due to end of year model, i.e. the 2006 should be coming out soon.   If dealer A gives you 90% MSRP with no handling fee, and dealer B gives you 88% MSRP with a handling fee, you are better off with the 88% (dealer B) even if you did pay a fee.   Most Edmund's poster have paid between 89-91% MSRP, in which case olddave received an OK deal.

Replying to: 2thdr1 (Jul 28, 2005 7:09 pm) We bought our car in Plano, Texas (Dallas) at Park Place Lexus two weeks ago. Ours had MSRP $34,800 and we paid $31,445. They said invoice was around $31,000. Ours included the premium package and no navigation. We probably should have waited until August, but my husband wanted the Blue Onyx Pearl and they only had one with the options we wanted. We are really pleased with the car.
