Replying to: birdmanbryan (Dec 18, 2008 9:22 pm) I brought (personally drove) a 2007 911 4S Cab up in 2008. NO modifications required whatsoever in Canada. Had the DR Lights activated at USA Porsche Dealer when I had my pre-purchase inspection done (extra $50). Metric already available on dash. That was it! Consider buying a "certified" car. Gives you bumper to bumper warranty for SIX years instead of 4 in both USA & Can. Good luck. |

Been reading posts on new Honda cars migrating from the US to Canada. Question, that I don't really see answered anywhere. If a used US Honda vehicle is purchased in Canada from a 3rd party dealer (Non-honda), can the vehicle be dragged back to the US for Warranty work? For example: a major component fails, can I get this US vehicle back to the US for warranty service? I am not talking about recall work as this looks to be covered: Honda of Canada Warranty Should I just go with the 3rd party warranty and forget about the balance of the factory warranty? Thanks

Dear, I hope someone can answer me: I am moving from US into Canada (newcomer) driving my SUV Honda Pilot 2009. I am very concern about the RIV requirement about Electronic Immobilizer System according CMVSS 114. Someone knows if it would be acceptable the "Immobilizer Theft-Deterrent System" device that come on the Honda Pilot ? or Not ? In case NOT, then Can I install an Electronic Immobilizer System in Toronto ? Is this acceptable and RIV regulation (aftermarket EIS) Best regards MZ |
