Maybe they still didn't tighten it down enough...I had to tighten mine myself to get rid of the bump sound when we first got our's.

I have a rattle on the drivers side under the front of the car and rattles that sound like they are coming from the stearing column. Dealer cannot find the cause. Only 10,000 miles on my 2007 HHR. Anyone else?

Towing HHR on a dolly by rodgerhome

Does anyone know why Chevy put in the manual that the HHR could not be dolly towed? I know the HHR is designed such that it can be towed all four wheels down, but I guess my question is more of an academic one. What is the specific technical reason the HHR can not be towed using a tow dolly?

I think its more of a ground clearance problem. I flat tow mine with no problem, and I suspect mechanically it could be dolly towed.

HHR Test Drive by barnee61

I recently test drove an HHR. Really, really like the exterior styling and the interior functional utility. I drove one with the 2.4 "premium" engine and auto. The driving experience was ... well ... underwhelming to say the least.

Note to the General's beancounters, who seem intent on placing crappy Ecotec "world" engines in all their vehicles: I will buy an HHR as soon as you install a proper drivetrain. Put in the 3.5 you put in the Equinox / Torrent ... something ... anything ... but the 2.2 and 2.4 Ecotecs are completely inappropriate for this vehicle. My two cents....

While a V6 in the HHR would be great I believe a smaller 4 cylinder is more appropriate. It's about the sizae of a Corrolla/Civic/Vibe/Matrix which also only have 4's.

Get out your checkbook, unless you don't consider the upcoming 260hp 2.0l turbocharged engine coming in the 2008 HHR SS to be a proper drivetrain.

Vehicles like this seem to always be introduced with somewhat tepid engines, because the manufacturers know the initial interest will be driven by the look, not the power. After a couple of years they introduce sportier, hi-po versions to draw in others to the fold...same basic play used with the PT Cruiser.
