Does any Rav4 owner have an issue with thigh support in the front seats. I have a Rav4 limited v6 with cloth seats and after driving I've experienced an ache in the back of my thighs. I've tried positioning the seat in various configurations and nothing seems to alleviate this ache.

I live in the NE. I belong to a organization called "Mass Buy" which says that I am entitled to pay $50 over invoice. Recently I called a dealership and they verified this. However they told me the invoice was $26,870. Edmunds says that it should be $25,120. The dealership says that is what there invoice costs are. Is ths possible, or am I being taken advantage of? I am just curious what others in NE paid for a "Limited" V6, w/ moon roof and JBL.

I think sales are starting to slow but the model year deliveries are probably coming to an end so if you find what you want you may have to pay what they want. Or wait for the 2007s. Some net dealers are starting to sell for $300 below invoice. But Limited is not easy to find, espescially V6. Take a look at www.fitzmall.com or Carmax, Laurel MD. site and you will see what real prices can be. |

When I bought a 2006 RAV4 V6 Sport with Moonroof and JBL radio and Side Air bags and mats. Here is my story and I am to blame..I am 60 years and should know better. I was going to buy a Honda CRV and had a great internet deal. I was headed to the Pompano Honda Dealership and stopped by the King Toyota in Pompano as my son had just bought a Sienna and I cosigned for him and the finance manager said he would make me me a great deal. Well, I drove the RAV4 I4 and the V6 and fell in love with the V6. Well, we began the deal. They offered the car to me for $25600 which I thought was fair...they than offered me $11000 dollars for my Mazda ES Van 2003 and I said no. They than offered me $12500 and I still said no. The finance manager than walked away talking to "management on the cell phone. Red Flags should have gone off than but "I was in Love". He came back and said he would give me $13500 for my MPV and I said ok. Than we went into his office...here is where the "dealing" really started. He said he would sell the car at $25600 but there was a $585. dealers fee. I hesitated but than said ok...(I was in love). Than he did the paper work and the total was almost $29000. He had the extended warranty and oil change thingee and gap insurance...wow...I asked him if he was really selling the RAV at Dealers Cost and if I looked it up on Edmunds would I see the $25600. He said yes and that he couldn't view the internet on company computers it was locked out. Again, a "red flag" and I should have run...I signed and waited three hours for my car to be ready. This was Saturday. I went home and read all my paper work (I know that was stupid and should have done it at the dealer) I called Sunday and left a message with the manager to hold the deal. I would do my own financing and didn't want all the extras. NO return call. I called again Monday (Memorial Day) again NO return call. Tuesday I go to the dealership and find the manager. He said he didn't get my messages and because my credit was so good that the deal already had gone through and nothing could be done. I was upset, I felt and still feel that King Toyota In Pompano took advantage of me. (Yes, my fault) I did go back Wednesday and they removed the extended warranty and oil change thingee but would not remove the gap insurance and said that my payments would be the same...this I don't understand. I was lied to about the Dealers Cost and there is no way the finance manager did not get my messages. I love the RAV4 but if I could do the deal over again I would. Please beware, I thought a dealer like King Toyota in Pompano would be more professional and not like the traditional "used car salesman". It is my fault..but I feel I have been shafted. Jimmy Drew
