The dealer told me the new 2006 Rav4 they have is around 15+ mileage. Is this normal? What's your Rav4 mileage when you pick up the car??

I'm going to buy 2006 RAV4 base 4cylinder 2WD with following options: -Roof Rack -Daytime Running Lights -floormats, -17" Styled Steel Wheel I live in NY state, 8% tax. What's the proper out of door (ODT) price? I'm a new graduate from university. I plan to pay $21,000, everything included (tax,title,license,doc,etc.). If I want to pay by cash with full amount, one time pay, can I get any discount? Is $21,000 a possible price? A dealer wants $21,800. Should I buy it with this price? Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

Been having a heck of a time in the Portland, OR area trying to get a V6 LTD 4X2 or 4X4 for less than $30K. I know other parts of the country are selling this car for around $28K, but the dealers here won't budge. This is beside the fact that our area seems to get 1-2 V6 LTDs with leather every quarter, and they're already spoken for. Plus, they're giving me 120 days to order in what I want... I've never had such a hard time trying to buy a car in my life! I'd be willing to drive to Seattle or even to N. CA if I can get what I want without such a hassle. Does anyone have any advice for me? Would it be better to wait a couple of months and see if inventories come up? Thanks, JD

Hello, I'm just started the test driving process and got a couple of quotes: RAV4: $21,100...standard, only side curtain airbags and moonroof as options CRV SE: $21,000...no extra options, comes standard with side curtain airbags, moonroof, leather, heated seats and mirrors, 6 cd changer, floor mats, 4WD, LoJack pre-installed. They even let me take it home for the night to think about it. I felt the CRV was a better deal, but could be wrong as it'll be redesigned for next year. Really like the RAV, though. All prices are before any fees, taxes, etc. I'm looking to buy mid-July at the latest. I'm located in MA and both dealerships were on Route 1 in the Norwood area. Any thoughts/suggestions welcome. Thanks.
