Pilot drives like a truck and gets poor MPG...amost 5000# That is why they give so much off, they are over the hill with present gas prices.

Well best I can tell only about 2.5% or so of RAV4s are V6 Limited. But that price is absurd. Look at www.fitzmall.com to get an idea on price. Worst case you fly there and drive it home and save $4000!!!-gas and toll.

The dealer told me the new 2006 Rav4 they have is around 15+ mileage. Is this normal? What's your Rav4 mileage when you pick up the car??

Mine had 71 miles because it had been test-driven a lot (only Limited on the lot). They all will usually have some miles, but 15 is good, pretty low.

10 miles for me. As lir said, it depends on which model you are looking for. Mine is a base 4x4, not so rare.

Basic 4cylinder 2wd OTD Price by spacewagon

I'm going to buy 2006 RAV4 base 4cylinder 2WD with following options:

-Roof Rack
-Daytime Running Lights
-floormats,
-17" Styled Steel Wheel

I live in NY state, 8% tax. What's the proper out of door (ODT) price? I'm a new graduate from university. I plan to pay $21,000, everything included (tax,title,license,doc,etc.). If I want to pay by cash with full amount, one time pay, can I get any discount? Is $21,000 a possible price?

A dealer wants $21,800. Should I buy it with this price? Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

Can't get them to sell me a car by jddavis1138

Been having a heck of a time in the Portland, OR area trying to get a V6 LTD 4X2 or 4X4 for less than $30K. I know other parts of the country are selling this car for around $28K, but the dealers here won't budge. This is beside the fact that our area seems to get 1-2 V6 LTDs with leather every quarter, and they're already spoken for. Plus, they're giving me 120 days to order in what I want... I've never had such a hard time trying to buy a car in my life!

I'd be willing to drive to Seattle or even to N. CA if I can get what I want without such a hassle. Does anyone have any advice for me? Would it be better to wait a couple of months and see if inventories come up?

Thanks,

JD

Comparing RAV4 4WD Base with CRV Special Edition by lvndrfall

Hello,

I'm just started the test driving process and got a couple of quotes:

RAV4: $21,100...standard, only side curtain airbags and moonroof as options

CRV SE: $21,000...no extra options, comes standard with side curtain airbags, moonroof, leather, heated seats and mirrors, 6 cd changer, floor mats, 4WD, LoJack pre-installed. They even let me take it home for the night to think about it.

I felt the CRV was a better deal, but could be wrong as it'll be redesigned for next year. Really like the RAV, though. All prices are before any fees, taxes, etc. I'm looking to buy mid-July at the latest. I'm located in MA and both dealerships were on Route 1 in the Norwood area. Any thoughts/suggestions welcome. Thanks.

in your case $21500 OTD is possible, I just got my 2006 RAV4 base 4cylinder 2WD with following options:

-Roof Rack
-Side and curtain airbags
-Daytime Running Lights
-floormats,
-17" Styled Steel Wheel
-Tonneau Cover

for $20,950 -$400 graduate rebate = $20,550 +TTL

you don' have -Side and curtain airbags and -Tonneau Cover which can minus around $750.
