I bought a base Rav4 with 4wd a little over a month ago. I have been averaging 28-29 mpg with 30% city and 70% hwy driving. I live in Colorado so I can't help you with the price in Connecticut. So far I am very happy with my purchase.

That's a good price. Which dealer did you get this quote from? I am willing to drive up to 5 hours to get one if necessary.

RAV Base 4X4 in PA by andrelaplume

$21,990 + tax and tags for a base RAV 4X4 with mats, roof rack, bumper applique, hatch cover, bars and net set, daytime running lights and optional airbags. These options are typical in our area. No trade involved though I was offered a fair price. I think this was a great price perhaps becuase of prior purchases I made there. They said to feel free to send customers their way but could not guaranty that price to others. Fitz Mall had the car for about $400 more. Perhaps prices are falling. My point is the price for 4 X 2 mentioned earlier may be high unless the pinstripe, fabric protectore etc add up to a lot. I spent about $20 on S100 wax and a can of scotch guard. I do plan on buying a few of thise dollar first aid kits, some extra bandages, perhaps some water etc and making my onw emergency kit...figure it could cost $15 id I went all out. I'll store it under the hatch in one of those nice bins out of the way.

Thinking of giving up by bonanaples

I have had a order in for a Rav 4 V6 Limited for over a month now and no car. The salesman now says they are making very few of them. Is this true? They do have a 4WD limited that came in priced at $33,500. Who needs 4WD in South Florida? Now they say it is also sold. I am thinking of giving up and buying something else. Just really liked the way the Rav 4 V6 drove. All of you that have one are very lucky.

how about a 4 X 2 4 cylinder limited. I saw one at a dealership here in PA, they must be making them! Personally the 4 banger is more than peppy enough and likely will save you $$$$.

Bonaples,

Also consider the V4 (they may have more), it has lots of pep - unless you need the V6 for towing. $33,500 sounds insane. I bought my Limited (2 wheel drive/4 cylinder) with curtain side airbags, JBL stereo system, moon roof, carpet/floor mats, extra for blizzard pearl color for $23,600.

Well 180 miles is not unusual as they trade cars. The selection is limited it seems so if you want and find one through a dealer, you probably should not worry about the miles if he can get if for you. 99,000 miles from now you will not remember the 180.
