Ordered Rav4 limited by jim35

We ordered a rav4 limited 2wd,4 cyl, last night at Capitol Toyota in Salem, OR. Sales manager offered $500 under msrp and we settled at $1,000 under. He said that the new allocations are arriving at dealerships today and he will try to locate what we want since the 2wd does not come to this area. He will probably have to order one since we ordered the leather seats, moon roof, heated seats, stereo upgrade, and extra airbags....expect that most that order this configuratation will want the V-6 and/or the 4wd. We've enjoyed our MDX because of the improved visability, so we decided on a second suv and want the 30 mpg with regular gas with the RAV4

Like cynthia8, these message boards have been very helpful to us in our decision to purchase both our MDX and the RAV4

My best proposal on a Rav4 Limited, 4 Cylinder, 2WD, with leather, sunroof, side curtain airbags, daytime running lights, auto dimming mirror, third row seat is $25,000 in St. Louis.

Is this a good deal?

Dealer/Factory Holdback for 2006 RAV4 in the North East? by ravver

Does anybody know what the 2006 RAV4 dealer holdback is? Intellichoice is telling me it is just $20 (sounds too low), and edmunds has a stale indication of 2% of base MSRP.

Also, do you know of any current incentives to the dealer?

I am trying to figure out the true cost to the dealer.

I am in New York. Specifically looking for the base, 4cyl, 4WD model.

It was $496 - the Consumer Reports New Car report will provide this info ($12) and it was the same as what the dealer showed me - (but I am out West)

This is a good forum, but I found it after buying my RAV4.
I paid $500 over invoice. Later found that invoice price also included Toyota Advertising fee of $416 in Fremont, CA. Is this usual ?

Anyway, my cost before any tax, registration was $25,682 for 4x2 Limited V4, leather, JBL, heated seats, moonroof, floor mats, side airbags+curtain. On road cost came out to be $27,700. I also bought 5 yrs service plan that includes all oil changes and services upto 55K or 5 yrs for $1295.

I am very happy with this car so far...

Our Rav4 is similar to yours and our price at $26,000 includes the Blizzard Pearl paint, heated seats,(plus other items listed in my previous post), floor mats, auto dimming mirror with compass, and mudguards. We did not order the third row seats. Dealer cost for this plus destination and - holdback is $24,407. With the similarities to our vehicle's (our's was ordered today & is 8/10 weeks away) I think you got a very good deal.

I got the holdback cost from Consumer Reports but they do not allow people to post information in their auto reports. It only cost $15.

Just got word from Fitz that my V6 Ltd. will be in on March 20th. They faxed me the paperwork from Toyota which shows dealer holdback as $517. Why have the leather, V6, Ltd's taken so long to arrive?
