Base Rav v6 4x4 by rupter

Hello to all,

I just joined another great forum. I have been lurking for a few days, and am not sure about this deal.

I live in the northeast tri-state area and have been getting prices for the 2008 Rav 4 v6 4x4. The prices I have been quoted seem rather hi, but I just got a lower offer and wondering if anyone thinks it's a ok deal. One dealer gave me a price of 25 k, and another 25,248.

The most recent price quoted has been $24,345 after $500 rebate. The only other fee's would be 6% state tax, and $194 doc fee.

Base rav v6 4x4

CD Tonneau cover
RR Roof Rails
AW 17"spoke wheels
RL Daytime Running Lights
TO Towprep Package
Z1 Accessory Package

The kbb and edmunds invoice on the Rav, with all options is $24,355, and $24,360 respectively. Does anyone think I can do better at the present time in the market?
Any responses or recommendations would be much appreciated...thanks

The MSRP on the sticker is $26,987.

I had the same thing happen on 2006 RAV4 V6. They added in the extened warranty etc...and than when I complained I was told they had to do it to get the financing that I wanted. An absolute lie. I finally got it fixed but they sure tried to screw me.

I also live in the Tristate area and am looking for a RAV4 Limited 4x4 V6. I got a few quotes and the best so far is 28,600 on a MSRP of $30,400.

Thats a $1800 difference so if all else is equal your deal is much better than mine .
You are getting $2642 off on the $24,345 off the MSRP of $26,987.

I am just starting my research but I would appreciate you PMing me with your dealers name if you do not mind. Is that even possible in this forum ?

I don't see a private message option here,,but the zip code for the dealer quoting this price is 18901...it would be the 1st dealer that comes up on the Toyota website.

I would think that you should be able to get $3000 off MSRP at this point on that vehicle. What does edmunds say the invoice price is on the car with all options? Also..if you are not picky about options or color..when the 2009's come on to the lot in October they are going to discount the 08's even more.

Right now though on 08's they are running 0% financing for 36 months..you can't beat that. If I buy now..I get to pick color and options. If I wait..the supply will become more limited..but the discounts will be more.

Hi all,

I had emailed in from the Naples Fl area earlier and received some great info on this site .
I am getting a quote here for a 2008 with factory tow package

 $25900.plus taxes tags ect

I am meeting them today for the details
I was told because I searched online I am getting the "online only discount "
I can not find ANY rebates or incentives for the 08 in this area
Are there rebate incentive offers still available now?
Is this a good price?
i will ck back after I meet and get all the breakdown OTD cost ,but I wanted to see in anyone had any info on this before I met them.

Thanks for the help!

According to your zip code..there is cash back of $750.00 for 4cyl., and $1000 for 6 cyl. What model are you looking at?

I am in the 11372 zip code or 10162 or 10913. Thats my house, my wifes uncle, and my father . Do you know if there are any incentives in either of those areas.
They are within 25 miles of each other.
According to the Edmonds site there are no TOYOTA incentives at all . So thankfully you know better than Edmonds at this particular moment
 Thanks

I see now that Dealership Names are allowed , but not salespeople . You would be talking about Thompson Toyota in Pa.
I am in NYC and how far away are you? In any event you have given (3K off MSRP) me another guideline by which to go.
I have done some more reading on the Edmunds site about Invoice ,MSRP , Holdbacks etc, and the 10 tips when buying a car. Keep me posted if you find a car please.
Thanks

Sorry..I do not see any incentives for the rav in the NY area. That figures! NY is a different world....

edit: I am about 20 min away from Thompson.
