Hello to all, I just joined another great forum. I have been lurking for a few days, and am not sure about this deal. I live in the northeast tri-state area and have been getting prices for the 2008 Rav 4 v6 4x4. The prices I have been quoted seem rather hi, but I just got a lower offer and wondering if anyone thinks it's a ok deal. One dealer gave me a price of 25 k, and another 25,248. The most recent price quoted has been $24,345 after $500 rebate. The only other fee's would be 6% state tax, and $194 doc fee. Base rav v6 4x4 CD Tonneau cover RR Roof Rails AW 17"spoke wheels RL Daytime Running Lights TO Towprep Package Z1 Accessory Package The kbb and edmunds invoice on the Rav, with all options is $24,355, and $24,360 respectively. Does anyone think I can do better at the present time in the market? Any responses or recommendations would be much appreciated...thanks The MSRP on the sticker is $26,987.

I am just starting my research but I would appreciate you PMing me with your dealers name if you do not mind. Is that even possible in this forum ?

What does edmunds say the invoice price is on the car with all options? Also..if you are not picky about options or color..when the 2009's come on to the lot in October they are going to discount the 08's even more. Right now though on 08's they are running 0% financing for 36 months..you can't beat that. If I buy now..I get to pick color and options. If I wait..the supply will become more limited..but the discounts will be more.

I have done some more reading on the Edmunds site about Invoice ,MSRP , Holdbacks etc, and the 10 tips when buying a car. Keep me posted if you find a car please. Thanks |
