Replying to: bobwiley (Dec 13, 2007 5:02 pm) Appreciate your inputs. Unfortunately I already put the money down (so has my friend). I will never buy my next car without CR Car buying kit. However one thing I would like to add. We went to many dealers in and around portland metro for buying two cars. (thinking buying 2 cars together would give upper hand in negotiations) No one showed any signs even coming near to this price. Besides RAVs are in high demand and there are not many in stock. Some dealers said they have limited allocation from toyota and they do not want to sell it at lower profit. My order is gone to toyota and will take 45 - 90 days to arrive. thank you all, Mike

Has anyone received the e-mail "Your special holiday offer from Toyota!"? It says you can get an additional $500 off on your best deal on a new toyota if you take delivery by 12/31/07. I am in Dallas and it is a promotion from the Gulf States Region (GSR). Curious if anyone has used it. Also can anyone recommend a Toyota Dealership in the Dallas Fort Worth Area? Looking for a great deal on a new RAV4. Thanks and Merry Christmas. |

I just took possession of my new RAV4. I noticed a few nice touches I didn't spot during the test drive, such as three different electrical outlets (one right next to the back gate), a place to stow the cargo cover, lights everywhere, and much more. The standard stereo system is more than adequate for my purposes, and a surprisingly peppy overdrive for a 4-cylinder. Even without 6 cylinders, it's a lot zippier than my old Toyota Corolla. |

Hi all, Wanted to know if the price i'm getting from the dealer is good price in the current market. I have been negotiating with 4-5 dealers in my area (Northeast, OH) and the lowest i could get them to is 22,208.39 for a Rav 4 Base 4x2 with the following options........ Roof Rack Carpet mats 17' Steel wheels DayTime running lights 50 State emission Edmunds is quoting 22493/- as Invoice for the same. Do you guys think its a good deal? or should i do a little more negotiating? Thanks

Dealer holdback alone is 2% of the base MSRP. They will be reimbursed this amount when they sell it. Are there any factory to dealer incentives, marketing assists, etc? Are there any factory to consumer rebates? Special financing rates? Try to figure out (through research) not only what the dealer invoice says, but what they will actually be paying for that vehicle after they sell it (how much will they be getting back from the factory)? You want to determine their actual final cost. Also, this is a slow time of the year for most dealerships, and they are sometimes willing to 'lose money' on a deal just to move some vehicles out. After your research, decide on a bottom-line price YOU want to pay, and stick with it. Good luck.

Replying to: karlytr (Dec 16, 2007 7:23 am) So after much negotiations he gave me a quote of 20208.39/- (I miss typed in my previous post... sorry) and Edmunds invoice price with the options is 20493/- so that is 250/- below the invoice? I think its a good price but wanted to see what others are paying..... should i call it a deal? Thanks |

I'm shopping for an basic automatic transmission RAV4 in Pittsburgh area. The dealer quoted me $22,444 without any negotiation. I don't know the invoice price. Is it a good deal or there's still lots of room in Pittsburgh and nearby? Thank you for taking time to look at this.
