Replying to: spydermonkey (Feb 12, 2007 4:38 pm) if you look back a couple pages and see my posts about the base 4cyl 2wd silver rav4 we bought at the end of January...we paid $350 UNDER dealer invoice. Our vehicle included several "standard" options for our area (which you will see in my posts). Basically, we didn't pay the advertising fee that is included in the dealer's invoice. At times, the dealer may be willing to drop the TDA fee so that they can reach their sales quota for the month/quarter and CSI ratings for the month/quarter. If they can reach their goals, they will get extra money for every vehicle that they sold. Hope this helps you out a bit. |

| 2007 RAV4 4 cylinder base, 4WD, Cargo Cover, Roof Rails, 17" steel styled wheels, daytime running lights, mats. Dealer is offering it at $22,000 (+ tax, tags). Thoughts on whether this is a good deal? Thanks. | |

| Base, V6, AWD, roof rails, mats, tonneau, cargo net, tow prep. 23,800, 25,900 otd. (KS taxes suck) Only Barcelona Red in town. Superior Toyota was cheaper by couple hundred, but they would have to 'get' the car. Olathe Toyota had it, which is the main reason I went there (that and this crazy retired Jarhead workin' there). | |

Great forum!! I'm in SW Colorado, and have to take a car out to my wife in San Diego area in a couple of weeks, and was thinking of doing an email / internet deal with one of the dealers in the area, here they are fairly sparse with 1 small one within 60 miles, then its up to 120 miles, and the closest two aren't on the internet. I'm looking for a V6, 4WD, no 3rd row seats, roof rack, and tinted glass. I figured I could email the 3 or 4 in the San Diego area, see if they have what I want, ask for a lowest price, and then take out a certified check. Am I nuts? Do I want to jump in a brand new car and hit 900 miles of interstate? How come they don't seem to have any 4 wheel drive ones out there? |
