Congrats Dampier, sounds like you got a good deal, and it certainly is a great car. Enjoy.

Just wanted to let you all know, Chevy is giving 0% for 60 months on new Malibu's. It is the first time I have seen this (well at least in Northern CA).

missed that one caveat...joining the National Military Family Association (NMFA)..interesting....they must need more members in the CU....

not worried about credit rating....was looking to replace my 04 Malibu Maxx with 137K on it last Sept with the new malibu....and ended up in an 09 Cadillac CTS...and keeping the Maxx.......go figure.....

yes you are corect on the 0% or 2750 off for the 2009 but look at this absurd deal on the left over 2008. 2750 same rebate but 3.9% instead. this makes no sense you should always try and get riid of old inventory before new. who in their right mind would pay more for a 2008 than a 2009. well the squirrels at gm do. no wonder they are in the shape they are. they should check their desk drawers for illegal drugs too. that would be a valid reason for this absurd deal.

I'd have to agree with you. GM should do what Chrysler do, offer rebates and 0% together. Common sense is a virtue.

After months of research and waiting I just purchased a 2009 Malibu LTZ w/ V6 fully loaded. Previous rental car with 5.6k miles for only $21k. Best car I have ever owned....so far. Love driving it. Red Jewel w/ cocoa/cashmere interior, sun roof, heated seats, etc.

Is the $21K OTD or plus TTL? That is a really good deal! I have got some quote for a new 2009 Chevy Malibu 4 cylinder LT1 with 6 speed automatic for around $22K OTD. You did very well. 5.6K miles is still new. Congrats on a getting a great car.

09 LT2 sunroof 24 OTD with 0% over five years. Was checking out the Saturn Aura as well and Chevy was able to beat them for almost same car. I think the Malibu has better lines than the Aura but just my opinion, also like the sueded leather on the malibu just like the saturn red line leather. Little differences as well as the leather around the shifter and a little more chrome tipped the scale for the Malibu. Other thing I considered was resale value, not because I would sell this car but just in case for insurance purposes the Chevy will stand up better if Saturn goes under first. Only bad thing about this car is I don't like the chevy emblem otherwise one of the best drives out there, smooth as silk, great on gas for size, luxurious silent interior, and one of the biggest trunks you will ever see. I will purchase the trunk liner cargo net, can be purchased for cheaper than $185 on sticker.
