Can someone tell me where I can find (order) a front license bracket for my 05 C6? I have the dealer bracket but didn't want to install it because I don't want to drill hole in my bumper. I'm looking for one that doesn't require drilled holes. There are several different types of brackets out there.   I just put some black plastic door edge guard on the bottom of my front plate and tie wrapped it to the grill. Replying to: motorhead1 (Jan 15, 2006 4:38 am) To split the question into two pieces, yes there are some who know but they are the dealers and it remains to be seen what they do. The most likely is that with a slightly lower MSRP the discounts on coupe and vert will remain about the same and it will pass to the buyer, but for sure some will try to reduce discounts and keep the final price unchanged. On the Z06 it won't make much difference since those that ordered at MSRP will see a tiny reduction and all the other units are at markups over MSRP and it isn't going to amount to much there. The best deals are on the internet, local dealers in most cases have low allocations are are going to charge top dollar. Randy

Replying to: stevensoriano (Jan 24, 2006 8:04 pm) Yes, we have an '06 with the paddleshifters. It sure makes driving in traffic much easier. When you shift in to sport mode, the shifts are quicker, but the paddles aren't active until you actually use them. They will not let you do 'stupid' shifts (6 to 1, for instance) and will override you and tell you so on the HUD. While I prefer manuals this is a nice compromise for a car that isn't going to be competitively driven. It's still stinking fast, but you just don't have the same fine control as the manual which you would want if you are truly competing.   My one concern is it's a new tranny and I have no idea how robust it is.   But the car is wonderful- easily drivable on a daily basis, but more performance that most people will ever need.   This being said, I now want a Z06 to play with on the track, and this can be a daily commuter.   Hope this helps. It is good hear from someone who has seen the newer models. I've taken a ride in a C6 Z51 on track and it is more capable than my C5 2002 on track. That said, I'm going to get some rides in all of the above mid month at Spring Mountain Motorsports Park outside Las Vegas. Very good xmas present from the wife. Taking a Level II class and they have C5 Z06's but in addition they have one '06 C6 auto as well as one C6 Z06 with a couple more inbound. I expect a small class size so there should be plenty of time to get a feel for all of them. Randy
