I am looking to purchase an FX35 AWD with Sport and Touring package and the 20 in rims. Has anyone purchased in Atlanta or Columbus, Ohio areas? I am regularly in both and would love to know what experiences others have had, and what prices paid. I was quoted 1% over invoice and a 15k, 0 down, 39 mos lease of $480 on the vehicle I described above. One more thing, has anyone had driving experience in the snow in this thing? And I dont mean the Atlanta "oh no its snowing" snow where there are two flakes on the road, I mean the foot of snow per day type of snow where you are parking in a foot of the stuff in the parking lots. My XC90 awd was completely disabled sitting in 6 inches of snow in Ohio because the stupid traction control cant get switched off, even in the 'Winter mode'. I sat there giving it gas, and the tires remained totally motionless. I had to get it towed. Meanwhile my dad in his freakin Ford Taurus just pulled straight out, no problemo. How humiliating. Long story short, I dont want to trade the Volvo in on this FX and be right back in the same boat. Any advice?

Replying to: owlmba (Jun 10, 2005 12:52 am) Early in Jan, when we had a snow fall around a foot and my former car was stuck. I asked this how he fared in his 05 AWD SPORT FX35 and he had no problems. I have friends in Denver with both an 03 and 04 of the same car and they had so many problems, they bought in addition one set of 18 rims. This guy with 05 has no problems of that kind. Note: When I was buying, I brought this info to the salesperson. He told me that neither Infiniti nor his dealership will admit problems with prior models. But he said due to consumer problems on this issue, Infiniti made adjustments to the 05 which per my neighbor seems to be working out just fine. |

The Infiniti RearView Cameras have "lane" guidance markers that allow you to clearly see where the edges of the driveway are. Keep any object from getting between the lines and backing up is a breeze. |

To all you lease experts, I was quoted a lease for the FX 35 - Touring at $100 above invoice. The deal came upto $397 + tax with $3500 down for everything incl. tax tag etc. for 36 months, 12000 miles a year However, they were not giving a good value for my trade in and hence the deal fell through. I am looking to sell my car privately and then go back to the Infiniti dealership. Question to you guys is I think I have a good price quoted, however, can they in anyway shape or form trick me. I have not been told details such as the residual value, bank fee, buy option etc. Thanks for all your answers |

I just purchased my Infiniti FX35 AWD from Infiniti of Gwinnett. I honestly have to say it was the best car buying experience I have ever had, and I have purchased a LOT of cars. I was given a great price, a great deal on my trade, and everyone at the dealership was just great to work with. Contrast that to Nalley Infiniti where the entire experience was miserable from day one. The sales rep was a perve - he wanted to spend more time commenting on the blonde in the next room than about my car. The hour I was there he wouldnt shut up about what he wanted to do to her. Then he used every trite, over-played car salesman stereotype you could think of. The managers, finance manager, and the sales rep were overbearing, arrogant, and were more representative of what I would expect at a Kia dealership than at an Infiniti dealership. Everytime I even raised the slightest question or objection, it was returned with long, dramatic sighs.... "Oh man"s, etc. It was the cheesiest thing I have ever experienced, and completely out of place for a supposed highline car dealership. Go to Infiniti of Gwinnett. You wont be dissapointed. Avoid Nalley Infiniti like the plague.
