According to certain pricing sites, $1000 off MSRP. In southern Cal. it's $800 over invoice.

Kevin,
I live in the bay area and have done business with 4 of the 5 the dealers here (had my older Infiniti serviced). In general I've had a good experience will all of them. Here's their info:
Infiniti of Marin
Neillo Infiniti (about in Concord)
Infiniti of Sarramonte
Penninsula Infiniti (same ownership as Frontier Infiniti in Santa Clara)

Have you tried a car buying service? Autovantage? Cars.com? Or Costco...since you're in Kirkland.

In NJ, got my FX tech & tour for $40,995 ($43,995 MSRP). Purchased in April 04. Spoke to 2 reps within in dealership, one online and one in person. The rep I met in person acted is if he was giving a deal at best $500 off MSRP. My wife and I laughed and encouraged him to try $2000 off (he didn't bite, so we left). A few days later, I dealt with online rep at the same dealership, and was able to negotiate $3000 off MSRP. Even got roof rail cross bars tossed in. I guess I look like a sucker in person and pretty astute communicating via online/phone.

It took me a while to get used to something quite a bit bigger but handles so well. I'm still not sure how far I can push it going around curves. So far it seems to stick to the road no matter how hard I push it.

Heh. My '45 is pretty sticky (esp. since I've set the tires to 36PSI) but I've managed to whip it hard enough the VDC had to kick in and save my behind. Oh, and like you, I wish the FX had a disclaimer on the window sticker: "IF YOU WANT A CUSHY, LEXUS RIDE, PLEASE BUY ANOTHER TYPE OF CAR."

Got a good deal on tech/touring package through the online rep at Ramsey Infiniti (northern NJ). They appear to have more than adequate inventory (as of 4/25/04) and are willing to deal to get them off the books.

It's not a case of "looking like a sucker in person". A lot of the time, the sales people on the floor are not allowed to offer the same deals as the Internet guy(s) can.

Glad to hear you did well at Ramsey Infiniti. I didn't contact them, but based my opinion on how they deal on what I'd read. I really do think that going via the online rep at *any* of the dealerships makes a HUGE difference in getting a competitive price. It sure made it easier!

Still ADORING my FX35!
