Could someone explain this DVD rebate to me? No dealer here in Northern Cal has mentioned it or even knows that it exists. How does it work and how can I "get me one". Joe

We worked up a deal today for a 2008 GC SXT with a friend's code, mucho thx to rmbalisa, who provided it. The dealer was very happy to accomodate the code and didn't show even the slightest sign of grief when I told them that I had it. In addition to the $2500 cash back incentive, I also have another $750 off coupon that my wife got in the mail a couple weeks ago in some Dodge/Chrysler booklet. They located the color we want at another dealer, so it will be here in a day or two ... SXT, Sunburst Orange, with the black side rails and crossbar (or roofrack as I call it). I am a little leary of the price that they worked up though... Here's what they put on the worksheet: MSRP - 28,310 Friends code savings - 1,994 Cash back - 2,500 Coupon - 750 _________________________ TOTAL 23,066 I know that the MSRP they calculated is correct, but I think the friends code [preferred pricing (PP)] savings should be more. I used the invoice prices here on Edmunds to calculate the PP (1% below invoice, or .99 X invoice) as follows: MSRP INVOICE PP SXT 27,140 24,855 24,606 Orange Paint 150 132 131 Roof Rack 250 220 218 Delivery 770 770 770 _________________________________________ TOTAL 28,310 25,977 25,725 28,310 - 25,725 = $2,585 .... Not the $1,994 saving they say is correct. I will have to wait until the vehicle we are getting is at the lot so I can look at the invoice that comes with it to look at the PP price on it, but does anyone out there in the know (rmbalisa, tedebear, or whoever) know what the PP price should be with the options I gave? Also I noticed that they didn't put the $75 PP processing fee on the invoice, but they put thier $100 dealer handling fee on it. Wifey didn't want me to b$%^tch & moan to them over $25. Should I keep quiet about it ... can they still add thier $100 fee on top of the $75 fee??
