My wife and I are within 15 days of buying our 08 T&C Limited. The dealer just called with a new (higher) money factor. It is pushing the payment higher than we want. Both my wife and I have FICOs over 800. To those in the know, what should a current grade A Money factor be through Chrysler Financial. Also, we are in California. Besides the $2500, what other rebates might apply to us ie, are available to CA residents.

The total rebate was $4,250.00. So I assume it was $2,500, $750, and then $1,000 lease loyalty. They invoiced the purchase price at $25,300.00 to make the number work.
This was not a family and friends deal. To be honest with you I wasn't getting anywhere on the negotiation until I produced a faxed quote from another dealer. They ended up beating that deal by $1,200.00. The salesman didn't want me to go back to the other dealer to get their offer matched so he kept lowering the price. He finally hit what I thought was a fair deal so I signed off on it.

I think once you get to the end of June they'll be offering the same or better deals, jmho.
Best of Luck,

I bought my 2008 T&C Touring Signature Series on Friday. Sticker was $32,760 (including the free DVD discount). I paid $30,260 less $2,500 cash rebate and $750 Chysler mag coupon. I'm leasing and my first payment was something like $500 plus tax and license. My monthly payments will be $311. The salesman told me that the money factor I was getting was .00068. I'm only doing the 10,500 miles/year, so the residual is 51% and they based that on the actual sticker of $34,285 (before the free DVD discount), which works in my favor. The numbers don't pencil out exactly, but I wasn't going to squabble over a dollar or two.

Interesting thing... the paperwork I signed showed that I paid $31,260 and I got $4,250 in incentives. I'm guessing that maybe they got me in under the loyalty incentive (which I was told I don't qualify for since I'm not a returning lessee) and put the extra $1,000 in their pocket... but, I'm satisfied with the deal.

Not sure I love the van, yet. But, I'm satisfied with the money end.

jensen3- Could you elaborate on your "not sure that I love the van yet" statement? We drove a Sig Series today after a lot of research and I kind of felt the same way. We get a supplier discount which is faaaaar greater than the discount we get on the Saturn Outlook, which I loved. But I can't help but feel that I'm 'settling'

No down payment - $500 included $49 doc fee and about 100 difference between my trade and the payoff on my old loan.

I REALLY loved my old van ('05 T&C) and these new vans are very different, so I just wasn't sure I'd like the ride and how they handle. The breaks on this thing are really sensitive... plus, I didn't want leather seats and wasn't sure I'd like them. But, we finally took it for a drive today and it is so nice - much smoother ride and quieter than the old van. DH did most of the driving and he raved about how much more he likes this one because it's so much roomier and the seats are more comfortable.

We don't have a Saturn dealership around here, so I cannot compare. But, I'd say I'm happy with my purchase.

Lots of incentives that my dealer says that I am not qualified for. Humph! The money factor thing has me going. Was this through Chrysler Financial? Details please.

Yes, the financing was through Chrysler Financial. I don't have the paperwork as they were going to mail it to me after everything got processed today. I agree with you on the money factor thing... I am happy with the deal I got, but I still don't know if it's the BEST deal available. I called the Chrysler incentive phone number and all they could tell me about were the $2,500 cash back, the $1,000 loyalty bonus (which they said I didn't qualify for) and the $750 coupon - they said that was all that was available right now for incentives for my ZIP code.

When I asked about money factor/APR, they didn't have any information. Then I called Chrysler Financial and they wouldn't give me any info either. They said it was all through the dealer...

I'd be really curious to hear from some of those folks on this forum who are "in the know" in regard to the Tier 1 or Tier A (whatever it's called) money factor that Chrysler is using right now. Did I get the best deal at .00068?

jensen...is that a 27 month lease? if so, the money factor is 0.00067.
