Thank You for the information on the EC rules.

I was looking at the contract for our current lease which was also bought under the EC program in February 2006.
The dealer has the fees posted on a dealer work sheet that I have.I do not know how I got it,but I do. It has all the numbers. It is showing the 75.00 fee which is OK.
It is showing a 700.00 acqusition fee.I was wondering if this is legit?I did order the Van,so I am not sure what this is.
Also, there is a DMV prep fee of 160.00 plus another 23.00 for tittle and tag fee and transfer.Do you know if the 700.00 and the 160.00 fees were legit under the EC program in February 2006?
These amounts are on the dealer work sheet. The dollar amount is showing up on the purchase agreement (hidden) but are not itemized.

Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
FYI- This is a dealer in MI that is near Chrysler HQ.

T&C Price Increase? by pmwalker

I just noticed that there are some 2008 T&C Signature's hitting the lots with an increased base price. Option pricing appears to be unchanged.

New Base: 28,210
Old Base: 27,895

Price increase= +315

Interestingly the 'Build My Own' section on Chrysler.com still shows 27,895 base.

Can any Chrysler insiders confirm if this is an across the board increase on all T&C models. Is this just T&C or are all Chrysler & Dodge vehicles going up?

Kind of surprising considering sales numbers are way down and high incentives/low price seem to be the only way to get people to consider buying right now.

Perhaps it covers the Signature series badging, etc. Or they are using it to offset the ~$1500 discount they are currently giving on the dual DVD player.

The only difference in the EC plan way back then was there was no $200 program fee. I don't know about those two fees.

A DMV prep fee? I'm not sure what kind of prep is needed for the DMV. All I did was stop by the DMV branch and pay the sales tax and license. There was no prep fee from the dealer but this is for Missouri.

Also, the $700 acquisition fee sounds suspicious but I've never ordered a vehicle under the EC plan. I put a call in to my straight shooting Chrysler sales guy and am waiting for him to call me back on this. I'll let you know what he says.

Acquisition fee by kyfdx HOST

Most banks charge an acquisition fee on a lease..

The money goes to the bank (think.. mortgage application fee)..

I don't know Chrysler Finance's usual fee, but $700 sounds about right...

The participant may not be charged for any preparation fees, delivery and handling charges, service or overhead fees, or any other such delivery fees under this Program

Does that mean no destination charges? or does that mean no additional fees added on top of (invoice -1%) + dest + $75 program fee? Can anyone who recently purchased using friends discount confirm?

With equivalent incentives as in February ($3250) and a lower money factor, the Signature package will become a very good deal.

Where is the extra $750 of the incentives coming from? I see the $1500 rebate + extra $1000 for lessees, but haven't seen the extra $750 published. Is this marketing support or would that be in addition to any marketing support?

Thanks

Correct. The destination charge is part of the MSRP on the window sticker. Refer to it as the Monroney label in front of a salesman if you want to impress them. Also, the $75 is a documentation fee. There is no program fee for the Friends discount.

The discount is approximately 1% below invoice, so don't look up the invoice on Edmunds and go into the dealership with an exact dollar on paper and tell them that's what you're supposed to pay. The Friends discount is printed right on the invoice - look for the PP (Preferred Pricing) code.

Chrysler added an additional incentive during the last week of February on GC's and T&C's. An additional $750 was available if you were a returning Chrysler cusomter (any Chrylser, Jeep, Dodge product) or if you were a returning minivan segment customer (another competitor's minivan). This additional incentive never showed up on any of the typical incentive locations (Chrysler website, Edmunds, etc.)

The $750 additional incentive must have carried over to March because I've been working a deal over the past several weeks and the dealer yesterday said the total rebates were still $3,250 so I guess it carried over into March.

Tedebear - many thanks, you are a wealth of information.

One more question in regards to:
Documentation fees are allowable under the respective governing State in which the vehicle is titled. Documentation fees may not exceed those normally charged on any other sales transaction.

In regards to the friends program, does this mean they can charge $75 + their standard doc fee or is the doc fee capped $75?

Does anyone have any recent examples of Friends discount amounts - specifically on the Sig series?

Thanks
