I have to say, the fact that I need to do this is really disappointing. This is supposed to be the easy way to buy a vehicle. Fixed price, no bs. Hoping to buy a T&C Sig this month if the incentives are good.

Replying to: pmwalker (Mar 02, 2008 4:47 pm) Same here. With interest rates dropping (my credit union just dropped their loan rates by .50%) I'm hoping that money factors on the T&C drop in March. With equivalent incentives as in February ($3250) and a lower money factor, the Signature package will become a very good deal. Money factors for February on the T&C Touring were .00181 and .00198 (36 and 27 months). Some Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep models were in the .0008 range in February. I can only hope that the T&C goes that low. One question regarding Marketing fees in relation to the Friends program. All of the invoices that I have seen from dealers show a regional marketing charge (about $800) that are included in the invoice price and are rolled into the friends pricing. I am assuming these charges are legit because they are included on the invoice. The marketing charges discussed a few topics back, I'm assuming, are additional dealer fees added to the bill of sale. Can anyone clarify?

Forget the invoice numbers, regional marketing charges, etc. The preferred price should be the sale price to you. Are you saying that the preferred price on the invoice includes the $800 regional market charge or is the dealer telling you that they must add it on to the preferred price? The initial question above was whether dealers are allowed to add ANYTHING to the preferred price on the invoice. I believe the answer to that is NO, the only exception being a $75 program fee. |

We enjoy our New Town & Country Touring. Ordered it on Oct 12 2007 and took it home on Nov 30 2007. We have the tow package on the vehicle. Is their any loose wiring harness that comes with the vehicle?? The shipping order that came with the vehicle states loose wiring harness. Dealer said they know nothing about it. Has anyone else ran across this . Thanks

| I am waiting for a new T&C touring to be transfered from one dealer to my local one. I have all the paper work written up already and will finish the purchase tomorrow. As it is written up now, I am being charged sales tax on the entire agreed on purchase price before rebates and trade in amounts are taken off. Is this standard? Another dealer in my area told me that is would be a benefit to trade in because I would only be taxed on the difference ( price minus trade first then taxed) Should I be taxed on the amount before rebates too? I am in Ohio and just want to make sure before I sign on the dotted line. I will try the Ohio tax website too. Thanks | |

I order the trailer prep package on every Minivan we buy. We do not tow anything, but I like it when we load it up, and the automatic rear leveling kicks in so the rear end sits level. My wife has informed me that we will be buying a new T&C as soon as practical. Can anyone give me insight into what difference the timing makes for a purchase? Should I wait till the end of the month or till the next major holiday to get the best price? Also, has anyone used the AAA buying service? Did you get a good deal? In the past I was a Delphi employee so i never had to negotiate prices on anything. I am a bit overwhelmed. BTG |

Replying to: tedebear (Mar 02, 2008 10:57 am) I was looking at the contract for our current lease which was also bought under the EC program in February 2006. The dealer has the fees posted on a dealer work sheet that I have.I do not know how I got it,but I do. It has all the numbers. It is showing the 75.00 fee which is OK. It is showing a 700.00 acqusition fee.I was wondering if this is legit?I did order the Van,so I am not sure what this is. Also, there is a DMV prep fee of 160.00 plus another 23.00 for tittle and tag fee and transfer.Do you know if the 700.00 and the 160.00 fees were legit under the EC program in February 2006? These amounts are on the dealer work sheet. The dollar amount is showing up on the purchase agreement (hidden) but are not itemized. Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. FYI- This is a dealer in MI that is near Chrysler HQ.
