Unfortunately common problems with brakes and suspension aren't covered by powertrain warranties, but at least the engine and tranny would be. |

We have a trip to Tampa for a competition planned for Friday so I need a few days to get used to the goodies with the MyGIG..... Thanks again so much MMAKOL |

Plus I'm allowed to change my mind and get 100% of my money back within 60 days. I figure if I don't get the promised paperwork from Chrysler by the time the 60 period starts to close in I'll just cancel it. I thought it was a very important thing to have on the '08 because of all the electronics that are packed into the vehicle.

I'm only looking at an extended warranty for the power train, not bumper-to-bumper. I would not even do that if the van had the same 7 year/70,000 mile power train warranty as my '05 Dakota truck has. Transmission work is one thing I cannot do myself (outside of changing the fluid). Yes, if I do get one, it would be through Chrysler (www.chryslerwarrantys.com).

Consumer's Union had a report of them not too long ago (in the last year?) and (if I remember right) did not have much positive to say about the third part issued warranties. Let us know what you think when you get your paper work. Thanks.
