That is a very good price. Good job! I WAS in the market for a new T&C but I couldn't get a 'reasonable' deal on one I liked in the Houston market. I did find some 35k msrp for 26k I liked at certain dealers, but NONE with a 4.0L with the options I wanted that would do a 9-10k off msrp deal.I really really wanted to get the 4.0L but the dealers I found that had something like what desi1 got would only budge to around 29-31k (about 4-5k off msrp). So unfortunately I just gave up and bought a honda odyssey (list 30k, got for 24k). So honda gave me 6k off msrp, while some of the local chrysler dealers (large ones at that) couldn't give me that much off?

Haha. Am also in Houston and had similar experience. Really interested in VW Routan and T&C. But, the dealers only quoted $6K-$7K off, eventhough in some their email letterhead said that they will take up to $12,000 off. Some of their dealers even not giving me price quotes and just asking me just to come to their dealership. Funny....one VW dealership said they have the $12,000 off Routan but was still in the port.

Just like you, I probably going Odyssey EX for $24K.

Do you mind me asking which dealer in Chitown you are talking about ?
I have been talking to a dealer in Schaumburg and he won't give me more than 5k off MSRP.

We are finally making the move to a minivan since our family is growing. We just got a 2009 T&C Touring 25M package with the upgraded paint (MSRP $34,405) with an advertised employee price (including $1500 customer cash and $1342 off for Anniversary edition/DVD) of $27,248. I also got a direct mail flyer for an additional $500 off. So my final negotiated price is $25,100 plus 7% sales tax and $210 for tax, making my OTD price $27,067. I'm also taking advantage of the 2.9% for 48 months. I checked with a bunch of other dealers from Pittsburgh all the way to Maryland, and none of them could match or beat it. I was warned repeatedly that this must be a bait-and-switch since "they all pay the same price for their vehicles." I'm guessing my guy is trying to make a quota as the end of the month nears, and will get some type of manufacturer bonus if he hits his mark. Did I get as sweet a deal as I think I did? For all my options and upgrades with the 25M, I'd have to shell out $10K+ more for an Odyssey.

In Atlanta last weekend they were advertising them for $24,998 at yourdodge.com so it seems your price is in the balpark. I want to get them even lower.

Good looking out. I checked out the site, and sure enough, there they are. Must be an additional regional discount for Atlanta? I wanted to wait it out until May 1 to see if the deals get any sweeter, but this whole stimulus package craziness has me worried about what will happen to prices. I'm thinking they might stabilize once Chrysler is forced into bankruptcy or reorganizes with Fiat, which will be determined this week. Even a few hundred dollars of savings isn't worth the stress of waiting it out with fingers crossed, I think.

My understanding is that there may be some opportunity existing this weekend if only for a hedge to the uncertainty of the reorganization risk. The source is good and trustworthy, but at the end of the day its still a guess whether buying now vs. one month from now. I'm skeptical of financial predictions unless its from someone like Warren Buffet (unfortunately its not).

I'm thinking anything out the door for under 30 would be a huge win. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks.

Hi
I am looking at my first minivan purchase. I am getting a deal for Chrsyler T&C touring with dual DVD system for $23300+tax. I am also getting a deal for Honda Odyssey EX for around $23500+tax. Kinda confused which one would be better. I am interested in long term low maintanence quality vehicle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
