I'm shopping for a Dodge Grand Caravan SXT or Town and Country with at least a 3.8 engine. No frills needed. I have 14k to buy it outright. Is a new 2009 one possible? If not, is it possible to find a 2008 one with 10,000 or less miles on it for that price OR LESS? I need to walk out with the car at that price after all closing fees.. taxes included. What would be some approximate best deals I should be able to get with that cash.. thanks for any replies... I'm not that experienced with this so any advice would be appreciated.. I'm not looking to do any financing.

So previously I was looking at the toyota sienna. Its a nice van, but IMHO you pay out the nose for any options- it can be pretty bare. The chrysler is much cheaper for better options so recently I was leaning that way(plus lifetime powertrain). But then with alll this bankrupt stuff, I'm pretty gun-shy. Anyone else? I know the govt says they will honor it... but I'm still pretty nervous... I don't want a 1-2 year old van with no warranty...

The resale value on used Chrysler minis is already low. I had a 2003 Olds Silhouette and its value plunged when GM dropped the Olds line, not that it ever was high.

Replying to: qwikdrip (Mar 30, 2009 7:54 pm) Wow, I'm impressed. What options did you get? I'm feeling like I didn't do so well on my deal. I bought an 09 Town and Country with the following: 28L Package 4.0 engine Security group Premium Group Backseat TV uconnect GPS The MSRP was $38310. We got it for 30,700, and that's before any taxes or doc fees. Did you have to bargain much? Sounds like you got a steal to me. Congratulations. Kevin |
