I believe the warranties continue to be a proffit center for the dealership, so if they sold you the warranty for the full price, they may have been able to artificially give you a lower price on the vehicle. If I knew you were going to buy an extended warranty, I'd drop the price on the selling price of the car to think you have a good deal, then charge you full price on the warranty, since prices on extended warranties are indeed negotiable. If it was me, I'd say I was going to get the extended warranty, then decide not to after I know what they were going to sell the car for.

Although I already gave out my one and only CDI employee discount number a co-worker says he is willing to share his. I only have ONE so the first person to send me a PM using their carspace mailbox can have it.   Since these numbers are hard for me to get please only request it if you are absolutely sure you will use it. It must be used to purchase a vehicle by the end of this month.   If you just want a number to see what the CDI discount price would be to bargain with the dealer, a link to the CDI pricing has been posted several messages above this one. Use that instead and go to the dealer with your best offer.   I'll fill you in on the details of what I need from you to register you for the program via PM.

In the case of my Aspen, the msrp of the car I am working on at the dealership is almost a thousand dollars lower than a car configured with the same options using the link above. That may account for the difference.   I am hoping rmbalisa is online today and can get me that CDI number.
