I agree with diseek. While the discount numbers make for an "easy" purchase, you can do just as well or better on your own. If you know your invoice pricing for the features you want, go to the chrysler site and select "find a dealer." Check the inventory of all the dealers listed. I discovered that this view of a dealers inventory is controlled by chrysler, so there are a ton of mistakes that can only be corrected once per week. Once you find a mistake, email the dealership about the price. You will have to make a screenshot of where you saw the price to prove it, but some dealers will honor it. Even without this trick as said above: There are tons of T&Cs on lots. There is no more leasing 09's are coming in Crossovers are killing minivans If you know your stuff you can get your price no matter what. Pour over edmunds and sites like it. This was the best buyers experience I have ever had. I probably still got screwed, but at least I don't fell like it for once.

Look at the T&C inventories of every dealership that is there. Most pricing is correct, but look for ones that are listed with a much larger dealer discount than the others. These are mistake prices that somehow have the cashback added in twice. I found at least 3 dealerships with these mistakes in my area. Then contact them all and one of them will likely honor it. Even besides that, you can negotiate below invoice. There are just too many T&Cs out there to not get a great price. |

When we got our van a few weeks ago, the salesperson showed me all the "special" prices (employee, friend, etc.), and our price was below those (but not by much). I know they were real because they were attached to the invoice. 4% is close, 8% is not possible - I'd say 3% below invoice is closer to reality for this brand/model. It shouldn't take much of a haggle unless they have you in some weird situation (upside down trade in, or last exact match for your selection in town, etc.). |

| I bought a T&C LX with 50k miles today for $11,500 OTD, including MN sales tax, license (about $300), and doc fees. Traded my 2002 MPV, took $5k cash out of the deal, and got 4.9% for 66 months ($200/month). The price includes 12 oil changes at any Chrysler Corp. dealership (perfect for me since I plan to keep the van no longer than 3 years and 36k miles), a $200 gas card, free mats (van didn't have any), and a zero-deductible powertrain warranty good until 2017 or 100k miles. The van was immaculate and was driven by a Chrysler employee. It has Stow-n-Go but is otherwise faily basic, but meets my needs. Has the 3.3L engine. Only downsides are that it will probably need new tires within a year, there's a scrape on the rear bumper (someone apparently hit a concrete light stand in the dealer's lot), and there was a faint smoke smell which the dealer is de-ionizing right now. | |

| Thanks for the input guys. I am going to go to the dealership this week and see if I can negoitiate a CDI price without the CDI. They do have us at a disadvantage in the sense that we are upside down on the trade...but I look at that as a seperate problem. I will let them tack that onto the price of the vehicle only after we have agreed upon a CDI-ish price. We are in the situation where we can wait a bit so hopefully that will give us the will power to walk out if negotiations don't go our way...eventually we will have to buckle though. | |

I was hoping to stay in the Chrysler family and purchase a new T&C Touring Signature this week... I would be very grateful if anyone here can help by providing a CDI number. Also: Has anyone looked up the T&C Touring Signature CDI price? I am very curious where it falls in the 4-6% that they advertise. Thanks in advance for your help/generosity. I am a new member but will work hard to reciprocate my help in the future. I am well connected in the Automotive industry, but unfortunately not with Chrysler!

Replying to: garymaster (Sep 02, 2008 5:09 am) I just registered you and sent you the CDI code. Let me know that you got it. BTW, how are you connected to the auto industry? Tell me you work for VW As for the Signature series price, with an MSRP of $33090, expect to pay $24869+$200 program fee. This includes an employee discount of $3721, cash allowance of $2500 and CF bonus cash of $2000.

Replying to: garymaster (Sep 02, 2008 5:09 am) You should be able to get a price below the CDI price on the 2008's right now. If you are looking for a 2009, then the CDI will help you. Otherwise, don't bother. The current price in our region is about 2-3% under invoice, then deduct the rebates. |
