Did you drive down for the car? To me, it's just hearsay unless there's a viable proof (contract or email w/ the breakdown of the price). I know I did the same thing when I bought the van. I told the salesman, you have until 5:30 pm to make me an offer that I like or don't call me back. He called back 5 and said "OK, we'll give the car for the price you want." Granted, when I came in, it was 2 cents more! The salesman said he'd give me the 2 cents..

Yesterday I took delivery of Town and Country Touring with mygig.

MSRP- ~$30,220 (price before increase)
Invoice- ~$26,000
Rebate- $5,750 (Lease loyalty, $2000 rebate, $2000 rebate for financing, Employee discount)
+ Tax and Fee

So far this minivan seems nice, drove 50 miles, MPG shows 18.

Thanx so much, but I'm in SW Virginia. The car I'm interested in is in NC, about 200 miles away.

Maybe I'll just wait for the 2009s to come out. Might have a better selection near home, or else be able to order exactly what I want.

How is the invoice price roughly 14% below the MSRP price. I thought typically around the invoice price is abou 7% below MSRP.

Is this the employee price they mentioned to you. I would appreciate a break down.

Right now I am in the market to buy a T&C and the quotes I received yesterday were for a T&C Signature Series.

MSRP = $32,725
Invoice = $30,477
CDI Price = $29,483
Plus Tax = $31,251
Minus Rebates = $5,000 ($3,000 CC & $2,000 CF)
Out the Door = $26,251

This does not seem to line up with what I see on the chat rooms? Can somebody help understand if this is right or where did I go wrong?

Thanks!

Looking at a deal today on a T&C Signature Value

MSRP 32,500
Cash allowance 2,500
Bonus Cash 2000
Dealer Loyalty 500
Internet Posted Dealer Discount 4196

Price before Negotiation 23,304$

This seems so good to me that there has to be something wrong. Maybe it is a demo, but it doesn't say. If it is real, should I even try to get lower? Most of the normal tactics won't work since it seems to be WAY below invoice already.

Usually, the dealer's internet posted site already takes into account the discount. At least that was my experience when I went to one dealer. They're price were lower and I came in thinking I would get the van w/ their posted price minus the cash rebate of $2.5K at the time. It turned out, they've already added the cash rebate to their posted site. I thought that was rather lame.

It is taking all discounts into account.

The posted internet price is 23,804$ and I got a coupon for 500$ dealer loyalty.
I have no problem paying the 23,304, but I'd always like to pay less if possible.

Well you got yours a bit back in time right? From cars, to electronics, to homes, there's no use going back later and comparing your price to current pricing. If you felt like you got a good/fair deal at the time, then why worry?

It could go the other way on you as well. I figure my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee was worth 18000 in a trade just 3 months ago, now I think I would be lucky to be offered 11000. Shoot me.
