Picked up our fourth leased T&C last night. Brilliant Black T&C Touring with Dual DVD system and heated cloth seats. Front and middle seats are heated. $369 per month. $0 down, $0 paid last night. Rebates: $3000, $750 lease loyalty, $1000 lease cash (new this week), $500 military (with free oil changes). And they paid the last two months of my current T&C lease. Waive lease end charge too. And I am keeping the old van for the two months. Used Chrysler Friends and Family price. Seemed to be about 8% below MSRP. The family loves the Dual DVD and SAT radio. We load two CD into the MP3 player last night. It takes about 10 minutes per CD. The van go 19 mpg (according to the onboard computer) driving home on a major 3 lane road with lights.

While higher than most, I was 11,000 miles over on my previous lease, had a fairly large sized dent in the back, about a 1 foot long crack on the bottom of the front grill, had a quarter sized rust/chip spot on the back top of the van. Brakes or steering was going out, cup holder inside was broken, along with a few other flaws. Tires were in poor condition and needed to be repalced. It was an 05 Touring edition with DVD, 59,000 miles I figured there was at least $2500 worth of work needed to be put into my current van, so I walked out thinking I got a good enough deal. 3 year lease, not a penny down, first payment and drive off. They started at almost $500 per month saying my van wasn't worth the residual so I used that saying why would I lease another van that would be worthless in 3 years? |

All the dealers near me have tons of these vans - mostly with the signature package. Now the question is: buy now to take advantage of the "end of the month" leverage, or wait until August until the new rebates come out? decisions, decisions....

Replying to: dlseek (Jul 30, 2008 3:06 pm) I'm probably leasing one today because I'm betting it won't be worth the residual value in 3 years. The 2005 I returned last week had a $17,800 purchase price on it, I think it was worth about $3000 less than that. Plus the features keep getting better. |

T&C Touring with MyGig, Dual screen DVD Ent, Family Value Group & Red paint—MSRP $31,545. What do u think is the best price I can get it for? I wanted all EXCEPT dual TV's (we're retirees, don't need TV in a car), but it's the only one I found with the Pebble brown interior that I definitely want. Need some guidance regarding best purchase price. Thanx |

That just about takes into consideration the rebates from Chrysler...nothing else. I see many comments w/good prices: Rebates, dealer discounts, EC, and F&F discounts. 4. Question is: DO YOU THINK $24-25K IS AN UNREASONABLE OFFER???? PLEASE RESPOND WITH YOUR KNOWLEDGE. THANK YOU! |

Replying to: macuser (Jul 31, 2008 6:18 am) The latest pricing with that configuration shows $31,995 MSRP. There is up to a $3,000 rebate, depending on where you live. With the rebate and a Friends discount you would be paying around $26,542. Remember, that's with the higher MSRP starting price. Even if you don't have a Friends discount several buyers have said that they were able to get the dealer to match the Friends price by simply asking. It's a buyer's market right now on minivans. Ask to see the invoice and look for the PP (Preferred Pricing) code on the sheet. That's the Friends discount price.
