I'm trying to get some current feedback on "out the door" price experiences recently with 06 Rubicon or Rubicon Unlimited to help educate myself before I'm getting in heavy debate with a dealership about 50 miles from my home that has 4 - 6 on the lot. What have they been selling for "out the door" all incintives and rebates included? Any help appreciated. Thanks. Layne |

I have 1100 miles on my unlimited so far and it's great to drive. I have had it in dirt and freeway so far and it's great. it's tracks fine at 70-75 mph. A little wind noise and a few rattles that I'm working on. I think the unlimited has a 3:73 ratio where the rubicon is a 4:13 or something like that so the high end speed would be less for a Rubicon. I bought mine at Dave Smith Motors in Idaho and they sold it to me at $ 90 over invoice but then gave me the 1500 rebate so it was about 1400 under invoice. This is the way Dave Smith does it on all cars. go to Edmunds to get invoice then see what rebated apply add a few hundred and thats what you should be able to get it for. If your not sure of the option package look on the sticker of the jeeps for sale then go back to Edmunds to price them out.

Hello All - I purchased an Unlimited Automatic from Preston Jepp in Dallas, TX. It was a no haggle dealership. I was in an out in 1-hour. I started my negotiations on the phone and they quoted me the price right away. No hassles. Here is what I got: Jeep Unlimited Automatic with 7 spkr, Leather Steering wheel, Floor Mats and Fuel Cap. MSRP 26120. INVOICE (per Edmunds) 23960 MY PRICE 24300 The nice thing about this dealership is there were no hidden fees or attempts to wrangle a few extra dollars out of me. The loan processing fee was only $50 while at a lot of dealerships it’s $200 to $300. That was the only extra fee – no over priced gas, no delivery charge or DMV fee. Also, there was no push for clear coat protection or embroidered seats. The best part is that they gave me the fair value for my trade in. No hassles there. I got $1600 for a 95 Nissan Pathfinder – the car had 165K miles, some mechanical issues and was dirty. I got 1000 cash back from Chrysler and 3.9 financing. I could have gotten another $1000 ($2000 total) but the interest rate would have been higher. Overall I could have paid maybe $800 less if I had really shopped around and was willing to haggle. But I enjoyed the up front buying experience and the no hassle/no hidden fees negotiations. The best part is that I got the exact Jeep I wanted and drove it home that day. |

| As of this morning I finalized the terms on an 06 Solar Yellow Rubicon. I bought it from TradeMark Auto Group (Bryan, TX) and it has been an awesome experience. I live a Houston which is quite a ways from Bryan (120 miles) and did everything via email. I sent in the request, the salesman replied with a quote, I countered and the deal was accepted including 1 yr oil changes and free delivery to my home. I highly recommend this dealership. Cant wait until tomorrow when they drop off my new toy! | |

I just purchased a 2005 X Wrangler MSRP 23995.00 Purchase Price 15995.00 I highly recommend a 2005 vs a 2006. 1) The 05 has a 7 yr/70K mile warranty vs. the 3 yr. 36K warranty on the 06 2) The bumpers on the 06's are cheapened vs th 05's. They left off the caps and put a plug on each end of the bumper. 3) There is virtually no difference mechanically, interior, etc betwee the two years. I prrchased min at Rancho Auto Group in San Diego Ca. I hate buying cars and hasseling wit the dealers but thie was the best buying experience I ever had . I highly recommend this dealership. |

With 950 miles on it for $17,000. Guy traded it for a Highlander and it had been sitting in his garage for 2 yrs. He bought it to ship overseas and he never went. The Toyota dealer saleman is a friend of mine and I got it before they were about to wholesale it. It came with the hardtop and was fully loaded AC the works. I financed it through my credit union and they gave me a 6 yr. 100k warranty (6yrs. from day of purchase) for $1,700. |

Replying to: bosox5530 (Aug 11, 2006 2:55 am) I was able to pick up my Unlimted with H package, 6 disk changer, stick, soft top, side steps for 22,500 - and I was given more on my trade by 1500 then other places so 5500 off sticker sounds really good - enjoy and don't settle - if you want the stick find it - I love my stick. |
