| I ordered a MINI Cooper (not s) last week from Lauderdale MINI (south Florida). I paid MSRP and the $389 dealer fee (scam). However, they included the floor mats. Braman MINI (West Palm Beach, Fl) offered MSRP and $489.00 dealer fee without the floor mats. When I walked-out, they added the mats. But it was too late, I had already taken my check back. I was able to find a MINI for $200.00 under MSRP at Braman, but it was sitting on their lot for quite a while and it did not have any options I wanted. It was a bare bones MINI. | |

had my MCS for a month now. Liked it at first, love it now. This is definitely a "cult car" in the making. Getting a disappointing 20.2 Mpg around Houston at this time. But expect it to go up. This vehicle is the perfect urban vehicle. Can be parked anywhere. Zips around traffic. Makes going to Walgreen's a grand prix experience. No problems yet. Thought one time that the auto trans was having trouble finding a gear, but has not recurred. Bought a bra for it through MINI Mania..and an armrest (needs it badly), glove box organizer (needs it badly), nice berber floor mats. And a trunk liner (the battery is under a lid in the trunk. One bad spill in the trunk and could short you out) from Moss Mini. Dealer said he had just been to sales conference. MINI will not be expanding production to a second plant. They want to keep production limited. Get maximum profit out of each vehicle. Likely to mean no expansion of the dealer network. Which could be tough if you take it on a trip to an area with no dealer. |

Replying to: guest123 (May 06, 2005 8:43 pm) I live in DC and was told there would be a 6- 7 week wait for my order (3 down already!). 2 months is the average for the east coast, and I've always heard it was much longer in CA. I don't think you'll find better in CA and it'll be the same elsewhere. Good luck! |
