That would be a good price for Alaska, but I still think I would shoot for closer to $1000 under (so, knock off another $600 before TTL). If you cannot get it for that then nothing lost and nothing gained.   It is getting close to year end, so I would think dealers to be slightly more willing to deal. Is this a local dealership? If you will be doing maintenance business there, that should also be more incentive for them.

Replying to: tommypc71 (Dec 19, 2006 6:33 pm) No, it's not a good price. I just bought a 2007 2.5i wagon, auto transmission with auto dimming mirror/compass and rubber mats for $22,142 before TTL. The car has ultra-low emission which is $200 more than Federal emission. It came out to about $1,200 under invoice. Check carsdirect.com and your dealership should at least match carsdirect.com price. Hello, I am currently considering a 2007 Outback. The exterior colors I like come with the tan interior, which I don't like because I keep a car a long time and the tan just seems that it will show dirt and wear.   Is it possible to special order a Subaru with the "opposite" interior color, charcoal replacing tan?   If this can be done, is there an extra charge to do it?   Thank You for your help.   Paul

I have just returned from a dealer in the San Franicsco area and was quoted $27,487 OTD (inlcluding taxes, fees, licensing..) for a black/black 2007 2.5i limited wagon...is this a fair/good price??? it seems that a few months back people were getting them for less? all that was offered was the $750 customer cash..then they gave me an extra $850 "deep discount"..and i think maybe $200 for coming back a second time and willing to pay CASH..thoughts? please help me!! i'm all alone in SF and trying to figure all this out. "Sale" price of $29512 (including few add ons) before taxes, fees, or rebate ($2750). This is $1000 over what Edmunds says is dealer invoice. Edmunds says TMV is about $300 over invoice. Dealer said that they only get 3% of sale price in addition to any over invoice. So here they got $1000 + ~$900 from Subaru. This was one of few of discontinued version of last years stock. Added up to about $29500 out the door before added maintenence and warantee.
